Lovely clean hotel and room, beds are not very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, we could take dog in and staff were great. Read really good reviews on restaurant so booked in for dinner, my boyfriends meal was cold so returned and by the time the new meal come back mine was finished. 8 am loud building work started on room facing which set the dog off. Would double check no work scheduled if your booking this hotel. Bowls for dog would have been a good addition as we had booked in for a dog friendly room.

Lovely meal, great value for 3 courses, with special visit from Santa himself.Our 4 year old was so excited, and Santa came to our table with present,and spoke to her. Felt Covid safe, and staff were efficient and friendly, will definately return.

Friendly staff. Good welcome. Nicely renovated rooms - really comfortable. Some of the restaurant staff went above and beyond - for example, the lovely Gordon! He couldn’t do enough for us. Good vegan menu. Slightly overpriced with some hidden costs. Bedrooms weren’t always serviced. Covid secure.

Hotel looks relatively new everything seemed very clean and fresh. Stayed in a Superior room which was lovely, decent size and decorated lovely as was the rest of the hotel/bar etc. Nothing to complain about really, the shower wasn’t the best but other than everything else was fine. I would recommend staying here.

Stayed here on the way to the Lake District, lovely clean and comfortable room, staff friendly. Had breakfast at the hotel which was also good. Was recommended some local pubs, plenty around. Restaurant menu in the hotel also looked lovely.
