Room very big and lovely bathroom. Room says it has air conditioning we tried to turn the room temperature down but it was 23 degrees we where far too hot to sleep and if oped the little fraction of window it was far to loud because of all the students out for a night out and road was very busy so made a lot of noise. Plenty of coffee and tea available for room.
Very disappointed tonight. Just went for food with friends the service was brilliant but the food very disappointing. Got the fish and chips the chips were obviously frozen ones and alot were still hard. The chips are usually lovely home made ones but not tonight. The meals arent cheap and I'm not happy paying what I did for the meal I had tonight.
The staff are nice and friendly. The room was a good size had a great night kip. The bar had a good selection of beers and ales at reasonable prices. The evening meals being served in the restaurant area looked good. The full English breakfast was really good. Would and have recommended to others but its better value to book direct. Good car parking available.
A very good hotel but let down by seemingly poor COVID safety measures. Hotel was a very good price when booking direct. Just £75 including a full English (you get this included if you book direct), and parking is free in a car park adjacent to the hotel. From the outside the hotel looks welcoming and also inside it is a nice decoration. The room was very spacious with a HUGE bathroom and roll top bath - an unexpected bonus! Their was even air conditioning in the room which was very welcome. Food at the bar / restaurant in the evening was good and the full English was also very tasty. Now for the part that I believe warrants my 3 star review - COVID safety. At the time of writing Omicron variant is rife across the UK and extra measures have been widely adopted. I was quite shocked that all the members of staff I saw had NO face coverings. In every other shop / restaurant and hotel I have stayed in for the last month have had their staff wearing face coverings. I felt especially concerned when being severed dinner and staff members close in ‘personal space’ with no mask. Other guests and myself were wearing face coverings until seated at tables. We take full precautions wherever we visit and I felt let down the hotel does not seem to do the same. I would however note that there was plenty of hand sanitiser available and the room appeared clean.…
My family and I stayed in this wonderful hotel as our home had no electric due to storm Arwen. Our stay was fabulous. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. The staff were so helpful and kind. The food was excellent! Definitely a fabulous hotel.
