The Premier Inn was clean and comfortable and in a great location for walking into town. The walk-in shower was fantastic and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is next to a main road, it was surprisingly quiet - good glazing and non-opening window helped with that I expect. The free Wi-Fi is a bit slow and sometimes the TV seemed to lose it's signal, but it didn't really bother us too much.

Hotel's Favourite
Overnighted here, and everything was excellent. Arrived very early and staff directed me to the neighbouring Dock museum to fill in time until the room was ready, and that was interesting. Everything in the room was good (wifi again needs a particular browser to open on computer – surely this can be fixed by Premier Inn). Supermarket and shops just across the road.

I have stayed at this hotel for over 2 weeks and the reception staff and cleaners couldn't have been more helpful. They have explained their new cleaning regime and stated if you need your room cleaned at any point to let them know. They always check that I am OK and if I need anything to let them know. The hotel is near to a lovely walk called Channelside with views over to Walney Island. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the South Lakes.

The room was lovely and tidy when I checked in and the staff are lovely, just the small minor detail that your room will receive less attention than a prison cell once you are in it. Overflowing bin, no milk, tea etc. plus the windows do not open, similar to a cell I guess, but a nice cell. I asked reception about this and I was handed a bin bag, not to sound like a diva but Ive never once changed a rubbish bin in a hotel and wasn't going to start now. Before someone smugly chimes in about the COVID19 plague epidemic ravaging the country, Holiday Inn had no problem going into the biohazard equivalent of Chernobyl reactor room 4 and cleaning the place. Staff however, 10 stars out of five who helped me with resupply missions, room is great. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud, power shower is lovely and hot and facilities are great. Location is also good as well, I will most likely stay here again just to see if this review will be repeated or if the room fairy will visit.

Hello Paul, Thanks for your review. We're really sorry to hear you had a problem with the air conditioning unit during your stay which resulted in the room being too warm. We can imagine this would have been frustrating during the night and isn't the service we aim to deliver. Please be assured your comments will be shared with the team so we can pick this up internally and prevent this from happening in the future. Again, we do apologise for your experience and we do hope you'll give us another chance going forward. Kind Regards, Tayler Guest Relations Advisor
