An older (red brick / stone, Victorian-looking) hotel ideally situated right in the centre of Barrow. Looks pleasant and suitably impressive from the outside. My room was large, clean and maintained to a good standard, with a flat screen TV. The staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant & bar on site. DW Sports Gym, other restaurants and large, late-opening Tesco...

The hotel is situated beside a clock tower whose bell tolls every hour through the night and is situated beside a busy roundabout. None of this would be an issue were it not for the fact the windows are all single pane and had holes in the woodwork. The breakfast was decent and the staff friendly hence I have given...

Dear Chiprafp Thank you for your review and the opportunity to apologise for issues which made your stay less than perfect. The hotel has recently installed new double glazed UPVC windows throughout all the rooms at the back of the hotel and are planning on doing the same with the Grade II Listed windows at the front of the hotel...

Our second visit to this hotel, stayed roughly a year and a half ago and staff were excellent. This time they have been even better, so child friendly and will go well and truly above and beyond to help you. Hotel is a little run down but the staff and exceptional food make up for this with ease and it's...

As my day had run out at Barrow in Furness I found the Hotel Majestic with my laterooms app. I had a short walk through the town and I was soon in the lobby. I was seen to with charm and efficiency and I went up to my double room. My room was clean and tidy with a nice double...

The restaurant is excellent, first rate food, large portions, excellent value for money. Friendly staff, very helpful. Definitely worth trying. The room we had was very tired and dated. The lifts did not work and appeared to be permanently out of order. I would visit restaurant again, if I was in the area. But I would not book a room...

The hotel is near the town centre and has free parking. The hotel is a bit tired but clean and comfortable. The breakfast, which is included in the prince, offers plenty of choice. The only drawback is that the lift is now permanently out of order and it is a long trek to the second floor.

This hotel is well located in Barrow. The accommodation is a bit tired, but is acceptable as a dormitory, and clean. As a contractor hotel I would recommend it, but not as a honeymoon hotel! Some might feel that walking from the hotel into the town centre is not that nice, but I had no issues with it.

Often stay here when visiting the Lakes. Good quality accommodation, very friendly and helpful staff, great value. One point of note is that the window of my room on the second floor would not open beyond just enough for minimal ventilation - fair enough for security reasons but at night the room was just too hot for my liking. The...

Stayed here on business and was really impressed with this hotel. Central location. Quick, friendly and efficient check in. WIFI codes are giving out to guests but you have to remember to ask. My room was excellent. Very spacious and even had a jacuzzi style bubble bath! Very relaxing! The bed was large and comfy. We ate in the adjourned...
