Stayed here from november to April 20-21 staff are friendly and beyond helpful. Checked out every other weekend but they always kept my room for me. That was spotless on my return. On the approach road of the a590 to barrow. There's a Costa/domino's In Next car park. And asda home bargains etc over the road. Back rooms over look a fair size lake with geese swans and ducks. I had the window open of night so I could here them kwacking.. Footpath on other side and there always happy to see you if you have bread for them...waterside house better known as corona house. for bae is about 2 Mile away.. Good walk 35 minutes. Generally quiet weekends Tuesday wed Thursday being busy.
I stay at the same hotel every other week for work, I could choose any in barrow but I choose to stay here as the rooms are a decent size, as the other hotel rooms are smaller. I can open the windows for fresh air, Premier Inn I can't do this. It has safe parking and everything I need. The only other hotel in the area that compares is Holiday Inn express but costs roughly 3-4X more for the cooked breakfast option. However, the staff here are the friendliest and most professional treating you like a valued human. I would like to see plugs at the bedside table, but it's nice to have a nice desk to work / eat at that has everything, so this isn't a necessity. But fridges and bedside plugs would make the hotel perfect IMO. In addition, you have three great walks right next to the hotel, a small lake, a larger lake opposite the football ground and up the slag bank to see for miles around. These are nice to unwind and exercise after work. If you stay here, my recommendations for take away food is La Luna had the best pizzas and hot potato for munchy boxes.…
Was booked into a Travelodge on business and was there for a week for work. Checking in I was greeted by friendly staff who let me know of the local area including a supermarket just across the road and Dominos within eye shot. (Bonus!) Room was Clean and fresh and very comfy beds. For a budget hotel Barrow is certainly worth the stay for the price. Anything I needed was accommodated for by the staff quickly so definitely cannot complain!
I went there recently for business, the staff are friendly but the bathroom was filthy. There were pubic hairs all over the soap dispenser and hairs on the shower wall. The sink was not clean either and the door fixtures were obviously meant to be silver but had turned black due to a lack of cleanliness.
Helpful staff and a clean room with everything i needed in it, only improvement i could think of is maybe a hot breakfast, other than that had a very enjoyable stay and would stay again, hopefully it wont be too long
