Having pre-paid for Breakfast for the 2 mornings of my stay, I found it truly unacceptable that Reception had “run-out” of the Breakfast in a Box. Additionally, I had asked for the Foam Hand Wash to be filled in my Bathroom, as it was empty. This was not actioned.

I would definitely recommend this hotel , the bed was the best I have ever slept in , the bathroom and shower was fantastic so powerful and brilliant pressure . Anything ether of us asked for ( tea , coffee , glasses, towels Ect we got with no problem at all no matter what the time was in our stay . There is a grass area for the dog and he was welcomed there too, he even liked the treats that was free on the desk . There is a big ASDA , dominoes and a costa not even 5 -10 minute s walk away .

First time at this hotel. Right opposite Barrow AFC which was reason for visiting. Easy access. Large free car park. Staff extremely helpful and rooms very clean and quiet. No problems. Enjoyed the 3 nights away and Barrow has a lot to offer.

I stay here regularly for work but have also stayed when visiting the area. Firstly the rooms are clean and comfortable, if you need anything or have any issues the excellent staff are accommodating and helpful. I’m always greeted with a friendly smile and recognised as a frequent visitor. A special mention must go to Shauna. She has gone out of her way to make it feel like a home from home and nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely recommend a stay. All the stay are great and if a comfortable bed and hot bath is what you want, then this is the place for you.

BRILLIANT. Usual standard. Clean and tidy. Went to Biggar village on Walney Island and found the Easter Bunny. The Queens Arms is the kind of pub you would stay forever. Lovely place with a great landlord and locals. Thanks to Dan for the Bunny

We stayed on Easter Sunday and Monday nights and paid just £74 for the room for two nights. Having read other reviews we asked for a room at the back overlooking the lake. The lady on reception juggled a few things and arranged this for us. The room was large enough and the bed comfortable. There is a costa coffee and domino's takeaway on the same site but we chose to walk into Barrow which took 10-15 minutes depending on where you go. All in all we had a really lovely stay and will definitely be returning.

Why the bad reviews - some people have a grudge?? We just returned from 2 nights with our small dog. The hotel was easy to find, quiet, staff were friendly and welcoming and the beds were spotless. One side of the hotel overlooks a small lake where there are various water birds. Situated on an industrial estate it is an easy walk to the scenic cycle/walking path by the side of the Walney and Piel Chanel as far as the Premier Inn, from where you can access fast food outlets and other eateries across the road. We enjoyed our short break and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Lovely big clean room comfy beds and pillows. We chose this hotel as close to South Lakes Safari. Stripped all 3 beds in morning as had time to kill and all protectors were spotless and pillows/quilts clean
