We have been coming here at Easter for the last four years and would highly recommend it. Danny the owner is great and all the staff are really friendly and helpful. We would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Excellent location, 2 min walk from high street, if you are driving parking is very limited and an odd shape making spaces narrow and difficult to manoeuvre into. Owner says you can double park but you have to leave your car key and wouldn't be happy with owner negotiating car park in an unknown car. Room was clean and a... More

Thank you for posting your feedback and I am sorry that you were disappointed with our breakfast offering. You say that our offering is limited which I must contest. Apart from omelettes I cannot think of anything else that one would expect to see on a breakfast menu. Perhaps you could let us know what you felt our offering lacked?... More

Room was really comfortable, well decorated and very clean, the view was great. Danny was very helpful both before and during our stay, he was very accommodating. The staff we spoke with were also very friendly and couldn't do enough. We felt very welcome, made to feel at home and would stay again!

This would have been our 4th stay at Oakbank House and it was as good as ever. The location is ideal and there is always plenty of parking. There is also free use of leisure facilities at another hotel close by which was a treat. The breakfast is amazing and the standard has never dropped. The owner is lovely along... More

This hotel was in a great location. Very friendly staff and the breakfast was outstanding. Also had the use of the spa facilities at a nearby hotel. Would recommend this hotel for a weekend break in the Lakes.

The hotel is situated in a great location for the centre of Bowness. It has limited parking but we were lucky enough to get a space when we arrived. The hotel is situated on a bit of a hill which is quite steep so perhaps not that great for those who have mobility problems or just the generally unfit...as we... More

Stayed for 2 nights October. Arrived at 1100 to check in and we decided to upgrade to an en suite bathroom for additional £10 per night. Was put in room 2 which has a good view of the lake. Breakfast was good and coffee and tea available in the room or in the lounge area. Great location close to the... More

Management response:

Thank you for your feedback. Your comments about the bathroom are fair and you will be pleased to learn that we are refurbishing it in the spring of 2017 along with a further two bathrooms. With regard to plug sockets there is a further double socket below the bedside shelf. We hope you will visit us again. More
