Apart from the rooms being a little dated and wifi not reaching the rooms, we had a brilliant stay. Great location and super family warm welcome through our stay. Breakfast we superb with and array if options and also gluten free options for my daughter. Otherwise. Rooms were of a good size. Bright airy and very clean. Would not hesitate... More

We spent almost a week at the Burn How in an individual flat-like house with a terrace. The room was huge (there were four of us, two adults and two children), clean, and had big windows. Staff were friendly but a little bit on the "formal" side, as we had to tell them in advance at what time we would... More

As you know we tried to fix the electrical problem with your good help and the electricians but after further investigation it transpires the sensor had been altered by our efforts and was not firing. As to the Wi-Fi in number 5, it was rectified and worked after the engineers visit whilst you were here. "Ritualistic service in a medieval... More

Stayed here July 2014 for a short leisure break. Quirky small Hotel where all the bedrooms are away from main building i.e. Reception/Bar/Restaurant. We had an upstairs chalet room that was huge with a veranda that you could sit out so ideal during the hot summer days or just open the patio doors tto let air in - you didn't... More

Spent two nights and wish it had been longer. My husband is disabled and the room had all the amenities required to make it a pleasant stay. If there was a downfall it was the fact the grip round the toilet was on the left side and his stroke left him with a weakness on that side. It would have... More

We stayed at the Burn How during the first week of August and thoroughly enjoyed our week. The hotel is ideally located, being close to the town and lake, but also in a quiet area. Great for walking and cruise trips on the lake. Plenty of good restaurants in the town but best to book in advance as the best... More
