Lovely little hotel, staff nice and friendly. Our room was clean spacious with comfortable beds and a modern shower.... couldn't fault it. Breakfast was very nice , plentiful and good quality. We sat in the dining area overlooking the garden where a lot of birds were feeding - blue tits, robins...was lovely to experience that at breakfast time. We would...

Well what an amazing place. I'd booked this in September, having looked briefly at TripAdvisor reviews, as a surprise birthday weekend for my husband. Welcome on arrival was very courteous and friendly and they advised us they'd put us in the best room of the hotel - Bay - which was really so very lovely. The room itself is amazing;...

We went to the Lake District for the very first time and had booked this hotel in advance. We got a very nice large room en suite, in Victorian style. Our car can just be parked in front of the room which is actually a small house with inner garden share with other 2 rooms. The breakfast was good and served...

We arrived early and were shown to our room straight away. The reception has the restaurant and bar attached and all the bed rooms were separate from the main building. You have your own allowcated parking space so there is no problem parking. I have difficulty walking and I was very grateful the receptionist offered to carry my case to...

This is a very good location it's a two minute walk from bowness. The room booked was "superior double" it's a three star hotel. There are a block of six rooms and we were in one of them. The room has a patio. It was warm and mostly clean with a big four poster bed and two leather reclining chairs,...

I stayed at this hotel for one night to meet friends. I have to say when I arrived I was a bit surprised as the rooms were separated from the hotel and self contained. But when I opened the door the room was lovely. Comfortable beds and linen. The room wAs rather hot and the guests upstairs exceptionally noisy. Breakfast...

We stayed last night for a wedding nearby. The greeting on arrival was very pleasant as was the room. Lovely gardens surround the property and Bowness is only a short walk away. The staff were all very attentive and the breakfast was excellent, would stay here again.

Truly a garden house, as the extensive gardens were showing off their beautiful autumn colours. From the restaurant you can watch the birds joining you at breakfast on their feeders undeterred by the resident cat. We had a comfortable garden room with the french window opening on to a secluded area with table and chairs, and then on to the...

The Burn How is tucked away from the surprising bustle of Bowness, yet it is a five-minute walk to the pier, and about 10 to the center of town. It is in a lovely neighborhood, is surrounded by other guest houses, B&Bs, and larger hotels. I stayed a week in two different rooms; as a larger man, I found the...
