We were invited to our Friends Wedding and decided to spoil ourselves by staying at The Belsfield as after 20 years of Marriage and working in the Horticulture and Hospitality Industry we have never found time for a Honeymoon!!! Sadly work comes first with my other half. Check in was busy as a wedding party were leaving, but we were... More

We visited on a lovely sunny day and were able to sit outside overlooking the lake. The menu offered a good selection at a good price. When our food arrived it was perfect and very hot (I had the duck). All the staff were very friendly, the only constructive comment I would make is that the restaurant staff could have... More

If you're looking to stay anywhere near here, I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. For starters, the location is just incredible; built on a hill overlooking Lake Windermere, and just a minute's walk from the main town. All the main restaurants, bars and shops are right on the doorstep. When eating breakfast, we had incredible views of the lake in... More

We stayed at The Belsfield hotel for two nights whilst in the Lake District area. The glass reception area makes you feel like you are coming in to a world of luxury, and really this hotel is so nearly there. We checked in with no problems but was told our room is on the ground floor through the restaurant. We... More

Stayed only for one night with my husband, but was so impressed with this fabulous hotel. It has been refurbished to a high standard with wonderful chandeliers, fabrics and wallpapers that you would expect from a Laura Ashley hotel. The views of the lake from the Restaurant and lounges are breathtaking. Our room was lovely and extremely large although the only... More

We stayed for 2 nights last minute - I booked the day before we checked in and had the last room so it was what they describe as a 'cosy' room. My it was cosy! It was sooooo hot. Even with the window open and radiator off the heat was too much. Asked at reception if anything could be done... More

From check in on Friday to Check out on Sunday we were treated with the utmost courtesy by all the staff we met. Their attitude and friendliness was so refreshing in today's usual atmosphere of mediocrity. The hotel location was superb as were the breakfasts and evening meals. We dined in both the Brassiere and the main restaurant, both were... More

Firstly we were greeted nicely by the front of house staff. This stay was booked for my birthday so didn't want to complain as my fiancé had gone to a lot of trouble to surprise me. However, after returning and reflecting on the stay it was average. The hotel itself is I'm a beautiful location over-looking the lake. Sadly, when... More
