Well what can I say ... last minute trip to the lakes and a very quick last minute booking! £64 for the double compact room and to be honest we weren't expecting too much! We couldn't have been more wrong, it was the most beautifully designed little room, spotlessly clean and so comfortable! Breakfast was included - the service and...

We stayed at the Westbourne form 4-7 October. Lovely hotel, very central in Bowness, handy for restaurants and cafes. Hotel very quiet and peaceful. Room lovely, very cosy, breakfast great but could have done with longer than the hour window given to eat. Hotel clean and friendly staff. Great place to stay for central location.

Booked at the last minute and stayed in a "compact double" room and was very pleasantly surprised, the room was lovely with everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing short stay including a lovely view. Everything about the hotel was well thought out, the lounge and conservatory are a lovely place to relax. The cooked breakfast was excellent and everything...

We booked less than a month before arrival and I know there were much better rooms than the one we had in this small 9/10 room B&B. There were lots of positives - good location just a short walk from all the restaurants and attractions of Bowness, really good breakfast, car park and friendly helpful owners. However our bedroom (no...

Lovely B&B, looked after us from the moment we arrived, centrally located, lovely breakfast, piping hot and cooked fresh to order, room had a Tv and nice bathroom with a shower (room 9), cant do enough for you. They have an honesty bar in the lounge which was very reasonably priced. Would definitely use again next time we're in The...

Stayed for two nights. This is a lovely hotel with a nice ambience. We arrived early and parked the car and walked into Bowness. When we returned our room was ready and Andre showed us round and took us to our room (7). It was large and comfortable with a good hospitality tray. Spotlessly clean. There is a comfy lounge...

We stayed in the 'Cottage' of Westbourne for 2 nights and really enjoyed the nice room provided. It was clear and well decorated. The staff was friendly and provided warm travelling advice. The breakfasts were great too. I would highly recommend Westbourne to travellers.

We stayed only one night and wish it could have been longer. The Westbourne is in a great location being only a 5-10 minute walk from a range of eateries. The boat harbour is a little further away. We had booked a small room on purpose as we were only staying one night (and it was cheaper). A longer stay...

We booked this hotel given its location and good reviews. Breakfasts were said to be good - true with an excellent and polite waitress. We had a standard room - no 6 which was small and little room to move. The bathroom was tired and cramped and needs updating. Overall we were a little disappointed given the cost - we...
