I spent three weeks at the Clayhanger Guesthouse and it couldn’t be any better. The hotel was warm, clean and tidy, and I had access to everything I needed to live comfortably throughout my stay (microwave, fridge, hair dryer, electric kettle, unlimited tea and coffee, and fresh towels and gowns). The location is very convenient, with shops, restaurants and all services you may need close at hand. Kevin, the hotel owner, is extremely welcoming and kind, and will definitely make you feel at home. If I needed a place to stay in Newcastle-under-Lyme again, I would certaily book a room at the Clayhanger Huesthouse. Highly recommended.

Need to visit friends. Stay for one night. Lovely breakfast. Good location. Room is cosy. Good value. Place is quiet as well. Hard to find a clean place in a small town. Service was nice also. Proper breakfast.

An excellent position near Newcastle town centre, and a brilliant welcome from a very helpful team. The lounge and dining room are beautifully decorated and fitted, and a tasty breakfast is provided - the choice of cereals is especially good. I found the room excellent. Although not the largest, clever use was made of the space to provide storage. Heating could be controlled to ensure a comfortable temperature. The en-suite was gleaming and fresh, which was a huge plus. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
