Parking is a disaster; telling me that I will be blocked in until someone else decides to leave is ridiculous. Room was so small. Purported internet was non-existent in my room. Any hotel that does not offer high speed internet is not worth stay at! Breakfast only started at 8am which is way to late. This is clearly not appropriate...

I struggled to book anywhere in Weymouth for the nights we wanted so this was a lucky find. It's right on the seafront but has very useful parking at the rear, though you may have to juggle cars if you want to leave early! Yes, some aspects are dated, but the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff more than make up...

This hotel is a gem! The proprietor is amiable, engaging and chips in for the preparation of the breakfast, that includes a wide selection. It is centrally located along the Weymouth promenade and offers (free) parking spaces in the rear.

The hotel is in an excellent position and the breakfast is fantastic - so much choice including their delicious homemade granola but we were very disappointed with the so called deluxe sea view room.... Bathroom light did not work, wall light did not work, only two bulbs in chandelier, no bath towels just 4 small towels and a dirty napkin...

A great little hotel in an excellent position. We had a lovely room overlooking the sea. I can thoroughly recommend the breakfast - a huge menu, all freshly cooked and wonderful home-made granola. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Rob is a very friendly accommodating host. The car park is tightly packed, but is sorted out over breakfast, a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Esplanade is a grade II Georgian seafront property. Built in 1835, The Esplanade is enviably situated on Weymouth seafront, directly opposite the beach. Ideally located for all local attractions and amenities, it is close to the town centre, the harbour and the beautiful golden sands of Weymouth Beach. Set against the unforgetable backdrop of Weymouth Bay and the internationally famous, World Heritage Coastline of 'The Jurassic Coast', The Esplanade is a haven for those wanting peace and relaxation beside the sea as well as those seeking a more activity based seaside experience.Boasting off-road parking, The Esplanade also eliminates the necessity of finding a parking space after a hard day of sightseeing, or lounging on the beach. With a guest lounge and bar on the first floor, the balcony is the perfect place to sip a cool drink and watch the boats sail past. ... more   less
