Lovely welcome from cheerful staff on a Sunday evening when 12 of us descended on the Fox & Hounds. Apologies to the locals trying to enjoy a quiet pint! All agreed that the food was very good. Generous portions. My wife and I both had the battered fish, which was lovely and crisp, and tasty.

Had dinner here during the week and the pub was surprisingly busy. Having sampled the food, its not surprising. The food was superb and very well presented and the service was very friendly. A real old fashioned pub, what a treat.

Booked two rooms with the husband, family and two dogs. Really welcoming people, clean rooms and the evening meal was delicious. Really nice atmosphere would highly recommend. Amazing walks right on the doorstep

We visited for dinner on a Saturday night. We had pre-booked and would definitely recommend doing this as the pub was full! The pub is dog-friendly, but if you intend to take your four legged buddy, then mention this when booking as dogs are only allowed in one part of the pub. The staff were very friendly and the food was good quality pub grub. The real ales were very good, the wine was nice, but a bit overpriced if you buy by the glass. We would recommend the Fox and Hounds and hope to return in the future.

A house move meant we had not been to The Fox for far too long but we need not have worried because everything was just as good as it had always been. Excellent Sunday lunch, freshly made and served promptly even though the place was full. Proper home cooked food without a hint of pretentiousness. Three real ales on tap but sadly I was driving. Some familiar faces and a great welcome as usual. Just what a village pub should be. Note to self...go more often and don't drive next time.
