Group of 8 of us stayed here in several rooms to attend a friends funeral. Many of us had travelled long distances and the staff opened up early to allow us into our rooms to change for the funeral. The staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms large and clean, as was the bathroom. Coffee making facilities, TV plenty of towels....

Better than average, good food and generous portions. Staff friendly and happy to please. Pleasant atmosphere in a not too large room, making it feel quite cosy. Would recommend for families. Fairly standard menu which caters for most tastes.

A family Christmas gathering for 23 members was excellent. All well presented by the very friendly staff. The meals were great and very tasty. Loads of fresh vegetables with gallons of wonderful gravy. All together a very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you.

This hotel was well located for our needs and plenty of off road parking. Havingarrived was told no tables available for food but was later fitted in and enjoyed reasonable quality and very reasonably priced meals. We had a twin room as two guys and only needed a place for the night to attend a function in the morning. Showed...

This hotel should remain as just a pub, they do not cater well for bed and breakfast. The band is far to loud when you are trying to sleep in rooms above them, if you had told us this we would not have booked. The rooms are grubby and bathrooms need a major overhaul. TV did not work, and the...

Stayed here whilst attending family function. Greeted by extremely friendly staff, the room was good and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and well cooked using locally produced food. Excellent value for money. Would recommend the Red Lion

Booked at beginning of September for one night on Saturday 15th October.. Called them that afternoon to say we would be arriving a little late around 9pm and the lady said no problem and took our name too. On arrival before 9pm we saw a panicked bar manager realise they had given our room to someone else . They have...

After being dissapointed once again at Wetherspoons Driffield we eventually booked a table at the Red Lion. If we had known how good the food was we would have visited earlier. Good home cooked food in a pleasant atmosphere, polite and welcoming staff. Definately our choice for our night out in Driffield in future

Stayed here as visiting Driffield to attend a family funeral. We were looking for somewhere cheap that wouldn't cost the earth as this unfortunately was an unexpected trip. The room is what you would expect from a B&B within a pub. The room was en suite and functional. It had everything we needed. All was clean, apart from Small amount...

Quite an old building. Stopped off for one night. Large car park so no parking issues. Room was clean but in need of updating. Beds were lumpy and toilet made a strange sound after use. Tea and coffee in room but perhaps things could have been upgraded slightly e.g. box of tissues, choice of toiletries Found the staff very friendly...
