Stayed here while I was working locally, this a real jewel in the Cornish crown. Really friendly family establishment. Nice rooms, cleaned everyday and the food is something else. My recommendations is to go for the ribs. Great place will certainly come back here.

I spent 2 nights on business so was looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay. The place I stayed in was very reasonable on cost and it pleasantly surprised me when I arrived. Very pleasant to talk to , extremely helpful but they were also very busy , it appears all staff doing all jobs !! Lol. My room...

Just had 4 great days at the Edgcumbe. Super friendly staff, lovely room, (get a sea view if you can) tasty breakfast options. Location right on Summerleaze beach, easy walk in to town, St Kitts Herbery toiletries in the bathroom. Excellent Deck evening menu makes this the B and B with everything.

Had a 2 night break last weekend here. Couldn't be happier with the location and the service. The hotel over looks Summerleaze beach and Bude Castle. We've visited Bude many times before and have never had a bad stay, but this was the best of all. The family who run the Hotel are so warm and genuine and couldn't do...

Coming back to my childhood local 'town' after many years, I was impressed with how much has changed: not in terms of development ( not gonna happen in this heritage location) but in terms of flourishing businesses in town. Time was, "out of season" ( July-September )!!, this town was dead. Now (end of October) it's busy. And I couldn't...

Spent the best part of a week here with two children and can't fault the food, service, location or accommodation. Beyond friendly staff encourage a strong family vibe, bustling and cheery but totally chilled and informal at the same time. Absolutely brilliant stay here, will go back again!

My husband and I stayed here for one night, visiting friends in Bude. It's a family run establishment and overwhelmingly the most friendly place we've stayed in a long time. The staff were extremely hard-working and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them whether they were dealing with young people, families or the older generation. Our room was a...

A fantastic stay at The Edgcumbe this last weekend for my Sisters wedding. Every member of staff was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The venue was perfect, the location, the food, rooms, absolutely everything perfect. Thank you to everyone for making my sister and brother-in-laws day the best it could be and more. We will be back to see...

I returned from the trip last week, I cannot give enough praise for this family run establishment. They couldn't do enough to make my stay the best it could be. I even got an upgrade to a sea view room. The food was top rate better than you would expect from a small seaside hotel, but so was everything. Thanks...

What a truly amazing weekend. I stayed at the Edgcumbe for a family wedding & I could not recommend staying there more. It certainly is "the best hotel in Bude." The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble & they make sure that every detail is taken care of. I can't wait to stay there again. Don't think, just...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Period property on the outside, seaside chic on the inside, so much more than a B & B, with a look and feel more suited to a small boutique hotel. A relaxed and easy bar area with board games and quizzes for cosy evenings in and and a contemporary yet relaxing dining room for breakfast and home-cooked evening meals. Great spot overlooking the coast, cliffs and town and an easy walk to town centre and 2 great surfing beaches. Everything you need for a great break in an unspoilt and stunning area with accommodation to match. ... more   less
