I made a booking at bridgeend for my girlfriend and myself on the Thursday evening over the phone. After a days walking we arrived at 6 to be told that we were not booked in and that there were no vacancies. The lady running the B&B made a show of leafing through her diary despite there clearly being no one...

This is the most beautiful cottage in a fantastic setting right on the river. Rooms are cosy and warm, breakfast is great and Diana the owner is lovely. Tea and coffee facilities are in the room and there are biscuits and sweets too. The Lade Inn is 200 steps from the cottage and provides fantastic food, live music and a...

This is a dreamlike setting right on the river Leny, close to town but off by itself. Charming beyond charming. The owner is interesting & delightful, in spite of herself! There are rustic & artistic touches everywhere that have grown organically & naturally. Lovely, lovely place.

While on a cycle ride we found this unexpected delight - a perfectly charming gingerbread cottage in a picturesque riverside location - with a sign saying "Vacancies". It was love at first sight - we knew we just had to stay there. Our room was beautifully furnished, the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and we had...

Had an enjoyable stay in this lovely cottage towards the end of May. The cottage is in a great location on the river bank and a couple of minutes walk to the Lade Inn, which is a must. Sufficient parking available. Our room, which overlooked the river, was very nice and clean and it didn't matter that it was maybe...

Bridgend cottage was a delightful place to stay for the night after our camping fell through due to heavy rain. We spent a night in the Tartan room which is a family room with a double and two singles. The cottage and garden is beautiful and set on the river - just gorgeous! The host, Dianna is very sweet and...

A lovely traditional B&B with the best breakfast in Scotland. The cottage is beautiful and we received a lovely welcome. A more idyllic setting would be difficult to find! The river bank is a fishing rod from the french doors. Benn Ledi rises up behind, and the garden is bordered by an old stone bridge, the river, a bluebell wood...

Mrs Hopper was so graceful and her place is enchanted. Nice rooms well equipped, great scottish breakfast... The house itself is beautiful next to the river, made lively with different hens of various kind and the cat Nessie which is really sweet. We had 2 lovely days there last august 2013 and we strongly recommend it.

We had a great weekend break here. The room upstairs with the view of the river was lovely. We went over the road to the local pub, the Lade Inn (200 or so steps away) to eat and enjoy a Scottish folk band. The stand out thing for us was the lovely and charming host Mrs Diana Hopper. Oh, and...
