Looking for a place to eat for six, we were easily seated here with a great welcome. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely food. Most of us had the fish and chips - huge fish! Very tasty. My daughter had the gammon and said it was delicious. My husband had the steak and ale pie and said it was very... More

Stayed here on a stopover touring across the Trossachs , friendly staff , lovely room overlooking the Main Street but was not a problem. Ate in and the meal was very good , chicken Goujons and steak pie . Breakfast was also very good. Didn't drink in the bar so couldn't comment on the service there.

Really nice food, very welcoming staff and would always go there to eat. We had checked other places before finding this one. Service was good, children welcome with their own menus. Easy to find and there is even a menu for smaller portions to chose from.

Lovely family run hotel with great food and cuteous helpful staff. Always a pleasure to be shown to your room by a member of staff. (A dying trait nowadays). Varied large menu , cooked fresh with daily specials . Premises exceptionally clean with good sized rooms at reasonable prices. Could not fault this establishment. Approximately 15 beers and ales on... More

Went for food, service was very poor and slow, drinks had to be asked about after 20 minutes as they were forgotten and food was different from the menu. It wasn't busy either. Staff seem like they just don't want to be there. Several times they were standing around chatting when tables needed serving. No smile from any staff member... More

We chose this place to eat, not to stay, principally because they accepted Gourmet Society cards. Basically, the place is a pub so we weren't expecting haute cuisine. But, we were pleasantly surprised. they waiting staff were very busy, but they were on top of their job and we were served quickly, perhaps too quickly to start with, they were... More

Went here with my partner and his parents for dinner. Seated at a dirty table that they didn't come to wipe after we sat down. Took a while for an order. Forgot my drinks order (the table next to us seem to be having trouble getting their wine too). The food was very bland. Salmon rated okay l, the veg... More

Visited Callander for the day and chose to have lunch here - there are quite a number of alternatives but we chose here, for no particular reason. We ordered a Waverley burger and a side portion of bite size corn. The burger arrived with at least half the plate overloaded with frozen chips. It was very underwhelming and the products... More

My friend and I used to live in Callander years ago and we thought it would be nice to visit Callander again. We used to go to the Waverley Hotel a lot and loved the staff there, they were a great laugh. We visited at the weekend of the 18th of June and were so excited to be back in... More

I'll be honest, we came to the waverley with our 2 sons because the places we usually go in Callander were all full up. We were greeted warmly and given our choice of tables. We were brought water for the table without being asked which was very thoughtful. My other half had yhe mishrooms to start and said they were... More
