Visited the bar today and enjoyed our food. Service was pretty good until it came time to clear plates. Just how many times do wait staff have to walk past empty plates before they think about clearing away? After 10 minutes with dirty plates in front of us I beckoned a waitress and asked her if she would take our...

Thank you very much for taking the time to review the hotel following your visit. I am pleased that you enjoyed the food but naturally I am disappointed with your opinion of the floor crew and I am very sorry for this unacceptable lack of attention. Please be assured we will be reviewing our practices and re-training the team as...

We went to the Captains Club early evening and I have to say it does look really nice from the outside and the interior is modern and looks good. We sat down and after patiently waiting for 15 minutes decided to flag a young waiter over to take our order. He advised us to order from the bar which we...

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review following your visit to the hotel on Friday. Naturally I was very disappointed to read of your experience as this is not the way that we operate. You are right when you say we offer table service so please be assured that I will be investigating matters further...

Enjoyed a lovely long weekend at this stylish hotel right by the river in wonderful Christchurch. Wonderful views from within the hotel. Modern, bright, light rooms and great location within easy walk by the riverside into the centre of Christchurch. Also very handy for ferry services right outside the hotel.

Thank you for your very kind review. I agree that we are in a fantastic location with easy access to many lovely places. We have just launched our own boat club service too which adds to the ferry offerings. We very much hope that we will see you at the Captain's Club Hotel again very soon.

Myself and a colleague attended a meeting at The Captains Club Hotel last week and was to say the very least overwhelmed with the property , the location and above all the attentive team of staff there for whom nothing was too much trouble .The rooms were perfect and all overlooked the gorgeous banks of the River Stour . Our rooms were exceptional, modern, clean and super comfortable. The views were stunning. The hotel is generally well maintained throughout. The spa faculties whilst small were of quality and we enjoyed using them. There is ample parking, however on the second night there was event and it made it difficult for residences of the hotel to park in the hotel...

Thank you very much for your kind and constructive review in which you agree to recommend us to other readers and family and friends. This is a lovely recommendation. I would however, like to add my apology to that you received from Marcin, about the lack of communication between the team. Marcin has since sent a detailed "crib sheet" to...

We visited the Captains Club for Sunday Lunch for a special family reunion. All ok till we had a surly unfriendly waiter at table he made the atmosphere change. The waiter made no attempt to communicate he had a scowl on his face made us feel uncomfortable asking for anything. When the vegetables arrived covered in cheese we asked if...

We called in here for lunch, wasn't planned ! It was a beautiful sunny day, and we sat outside on the patio area, we had our little dog with us, and the staff were happy and welcoming to him. The food was delicious, great portions ! Definitely recommend.

Thank you for writing your kind review following a "sunshine" lunch at the hotel. It is great when we can use the terrace as it is in a glorious location by the river Stour. We look forward to another sunny day when you can return. Many thanks.

We have visited this hotel for a few meals including the Boxing Day brunch. We have stayed overnight in a sumptuous suite so when I was thinking of a venue for my 60th birthday it was a no brainer. We stayed at The Captain's Club on the weekend of 22 April 2016. It was easy to find and the check in was smooth with helpful staff. Lovely sized room with good views over the river. I liked the fact we could have fresh milk, although the fact that were only 2 "normal" tea bags was a bit of a...

Thank you very much indeed for the very kind review and once again I offer my apology for the inconvenience caused with the spa refurbishment over-run.
