We had a lovely summer lunch sitting on the patio with a pint of lager and some light bites after a long walk back from the sea and the quick ferry crossing. The service was good but the whole lunch was very calm and enjoyable and we were allowed to have our dog with us.

Thank you for taking the time to review your visit earlier this summer. I am glad that you enjoyed spending time on the terrace and we look forward to Spring when the tables and chairs will be out again! Yes, with our own hotel Chocolate Labrador, Willow, we love to welcome four legged friends too. We will see you again...

The facilities in the suite are excellent and ideal for families who require independent catering facilities as well as having use of the excellent room service. The outlook is over the river and quiet and peaceful. We are visiting in winter and the rooms are warm and extremely well appointed. My only criticism is we are unable to use the...

Many thanks for writing such a lovely review about your recent stay in one of our suites. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us and glad that you appreciated room service. Rather than a swimming pool our spa features a hydro-therapy pool which is heated to a much higher temperature and given this our insurance company...

We came here with friends whilst in the area. The place is clean and modern but with many tables filled was too noisy to converse without shouting (which just added to it) no carpeting or drapes to absorb the sound. Retired to the lounge in search of peace but the pianist, who was good, had clearly thought he was entertaining...

Thank you for taking the time to review your visit and I am sorry that you felt let down by the level of noise and the enthusiastic pianist! It is a shame that when you enjoy such excellent food and service that something else gets in the way. I appreciate that the hotel can be very busy and thus noisy...

I have been here for 5 weeks for business. The hotel is lovely but the staff make the stay feel like home. Special thanks to Anita who is always welcoming and brightens the morning. Very accommodating and remembers my special request for breakfast - it's the little things that make the difference. Thank you!!

The rooms comprising two bedrooms, two bathrooms , a lounge and kitchen area made the stay home from home. Good views and based on the riverside ideal for walking into the Priory town of Christchurch. The staff are professional, courteous and helpful. If there is a downside it is the limited communal area for residents to relax, not too much...

Thank you so much for writing such a lovely review about the suites following your recent stay. I am pleased that you took advantage of the lounge facilities. Downstairs does tend to get very busy! Our first visit and we had an area reserved for us - good service, drinks and food was very good from such a mixed party - we probably should have sat in the dining area but good fun and happy to visit again

We had lunch at this hotel today. My drink didn't come for ages and my meal arrived first, so, I asked the waitress who took our order to bring my drink, then, she started arguing. "You didn't order your drink with me!" - this was her first response. I definitely ordered my drink with her when I ordered my meal,...

You are absolutely right and I have nothing in my defense that I can say. We screwed up and we hold our hands up to this. This is certainly not the behaviour that I would expect from any of the crew as this is not the standard one would normally associate with the Captain's Club Hotel. I haven't had the...

I question whether this hotel should be classed as a pet friendly hotel . Out of the many bedrooms the only few available to people and their dogs are the extremely expensive suites . In my opinion this is not a pet friendly hotel ..

We welcome dogs, indeed we have our own lovely hotel dog named Willow. We have chosen to allow pets into the suites as they have a lot of extra space which enables the dogs to sleep in the lounge/kitchen area. So out of 29 hotel units we allow pets into 10 which is a high ratio especially at a time...
