Hotel was great only problem we had was our room was cold, we turned up the heating but it never stayed at the setting we put it to. Other issue we had was we thought the Brewers Fayre was very expensive for both food and drinks

Great to see this hotel getting the upgrade at last even though this meant a little disruption. Staff all very helpful. Close to metro centre however not an easy walk due to the busy road. food better since change over.

Stayed here again over Easter as a family, nice big room looked like it had just been refurbished and painted! Ideal for what we need close to metro centre and easy to get a taxi into the city. Staff always nice and friendly we will return soon

The location is ok but you need to take the car to the near by metro centre. It was good for us as we were visiting family. The hotel was having some renovations done but this did not disrupt us in any way. Hotel staff very friendly.

Booked last minute, website stated some refurbishment going on. Stay not affected by this, room felt clean and fresh, newly updated. Excellent nights sleep in comfy bed. Good facilities and sleeping arrangements for the children.

The hotel is a very short drive from the Metro Centre. Great room, very comfortable bed, I would defiantly stay there again. As usual next to the hotel is a Brewers fayre restaurante offering good value food and drink. The is a good pub near by called the Skiff.

We had travelled to Gateshead for a funeral and found the staff to be very helpful. Our stay was a most relaxing experience. The beds are the most comfortable we have slept in. We have purchased a Hypnos bed after experience a good nights sleep on a previous stayn in Aylesbury.

We stayed at the Premier Inn at Swalwell, Gateshead and had 4 rooms, with different age groups ranging from 3 to 60. We were checked in by Sophie, who was very welcoming and had a genuine smile and easy conversation with us all throughout our stay. The rooms were next door to each other which was important for us. The...

When complained of bed being small was told all beds are 4' 6" at the hotel which are too small for the average person anyone of a larger size would definitely find them uncomfortable, bathroom in room 7 has no heating it is very cold, it is also a disability room. The positives are, it is close to Metro Centre,...

Hi Ian I'm sorry to hear you found the bed too small, some of our rooms have double rather than king size. The hotel is currently under-going refurbishment so the team will look into whether the bed in room 7 needs replacing. I've also passed your comments regarding the heating unit onto the management team to follow up. I'm glad...

I've been staying at this hotel regularly over the past few years and it was looking and feeling tired. Today however the refit is complete, new deep baths, stylish rooms, and still comfy bed (all I really worry about.) Very impressed!
