A wonderful surprise to dine at Guldearn House - food was delicious and the hosts were wonderful. We were in a large group and every one's needs were catered for. We also looked at their rooms which looked quite interesting as all rooms have different colours and beautifully decorated. Would recommend this place to all visiting Grantown-on-Spey as William and...

We booked a room with breakfast and dinner at the very last minute for an overnight stay, but would have stayed longer.. The room was at the first floor, there is also a second floor and no elevator but the owner kindly offered and helped with our luggage. The living room and a separate dining room are on ground floor...

Had an excellent two night stay here. The room was very comfortable and clean and the food excellent. One of the best, reasonably priced, wine lists that I have had the pleasure of selecting from! The owners were very attentive and made us very welcome.

I decided very last minute to make a weekend trip to the area. Booked on Thursday and arrived on Friday. I hadn't thought about dinner plans, but was welcomed to eat in, even though I was unexpected. The meal was outstanding, if a bit expensive. The whisky list was wonderful as well and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room...

It was unfortunate that we had only booked one night at this lovely small hotel on the outskirts of Grantown-on-Spey. Our twin-bedded room was beautifully decorated in shades of yellow. The spotless bathroom had a bath with overhead shower, was quite large and had nice toilettries. William and Sonia made us very welcome, dinner was excellent and after dinner we...

We stayed overnight a couple of weeks ago. We wish we had booked for longer. The welcome, attention to detail, quality of dining & value for money all outstanding. Definitely a hotel earmarked for a return visit

Yes, we have reviewed this hotel before but if there is a better small hotel in Scotland then we haven't found it (and we have tried a lot!) so why not shout about it. A superb room with so much attention to detail that some top hotels in London and Edinburgh could learn a lot from it. Great food, a...

We stayed at Culdearn House for 2 nights over the Easter weekend 2013. I had a specific idea of the type of hotel I wanted to stay in and stipulated it must be luxurious and have an open fire in the lounge area as I felt in serious need of some rest and relaxation! I also wanted somewhere we could...

I took my family to Aviemore for half term week, and stayed somewhere local for a few days. Culdearn House is on the Michelin Guide, which I tend to use as its 100% reliable. The owner accommodated us even though the hotel mainly cater for hotel guests. My family were the only diners, which I guess for some could be...

We had previously stayed at a B&B in Inverness that had been rated "superb " on Booking.com. Someone had obviously hit the Whiskey Trail because it was so bad we spent one night, paid for three and left. Through luck we found the Culdearn House, and it literally saved our vacation . First off, everything is immaculate, no detail missed....
