As birdwatchers, this hotel was a great base for surrounding areas of wildlife. The hotel was extremely comfortable and the food was marvellous with an excellent menu to cater for all tastes. Each morning a local expert visited the hotel to provide a daily update on what's about and where to go. Trips can also be arranged with a guide....

I cannot understand how anyone can have the slightest complant about this hotel.I have stayed here previously and have just returned from a five day break there with my wife. From the minute you walk through the front door on arrival to the minute you leave, the service throughout the hotel is first class. The hotel itself is very well...

The Grant Arms Hotel is one of a kind. It is for everybody but especially for those that love bird and wildlife. The staff were all with out exception, friendly. Our lovely girl, Paulina was present in the dining room throughout our 4 day stay and was friendly and professional in her service. The meals were exceptional, with a new...

Having stayed here previously and had a very favourable experience we took two friends for a birthday lunch. It was about one o'clock and the bar was very quiet with only one other table occupied. We ordered our drinks and food and received the meal in a reasonable time. Three of us had food which was warm and edible if...

We spent a week here, and as it was a 'big birthday' treat we splashed out and booked a big room with a four poster bed. There were a few niggles on the first two days, which had us grumbling a bit, but we mentioned them to the manager and they were put right immediately. By the end of the...

Dropped in for lunch. First impressions were very favourable. Ordered our food at the nicely decorated Lounge bar. Went quickly downhill from there. Inattentive staff, poor service and ultimately luke warm food. Bitterly disappointed as reviews had seemed positive. UPDATE Manager responded very quickly to my complaints via email and a personal phone call promising this was not the norm...

Yet another visit and not disappointed! Warm, comfortable and with really helpful staff. If I have one slight issue it is the bar pricing policy! Well maintained and welcoming. The 4 and 7 day breaks are good value including excellent selection of food in the restaurant.

Stopped here today for a lovely 3 course Sunday lunch, very reasonably priced and coffee included. Staff very friendly and helpful and very attentive. The dining room was pleasant and recently refurbished, I think. Would definitely revisit.

Stayed for the week a warm and inviting hotel that wraps it's arms around you. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The manager David is aware of everything that is going on in the hotel and is happy to greet and talk to you to find out if everything is to your satisfaction

We stayed at eth Grant Arms Hotel for two nights in October. We had a superior room overlooking the front of the hotel. The room was clean but not very spacious for a superior room. The bed was also a small double. The shower was good. The dining room at the hotel was very gloomy and lacking in any atmosphere...
