Beautiful room decor, especially the mosaic in the bathroom. Loved that there was a bath as well as shower! Lovely Orcadian food. Brodies hot chocolate and shortbread in the room were great. Charming place, sad I had to leave!

Don't be put off by the slightly dated exterior of this hotel - it is a gem. We were there for 2 nights and stayed in Yetlin which they made up as a double. It was lovely. Really comfortable, great bathroom, good view across the roof tops to the sea, quiet. Excellent. We had dinner and it was extremely tasty....

A group of four friends visited for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was not busy and the waitress was pleasant but service was slow. The food was very disappointing. We had the seaweed eating lamb (a local speciality ) which was tough and the boiled potatoes were not cooked! The environment was pleasant with good views over the town.

Stayed here expecting a traditional experience with homely flair and that's what was provided. Well priced and staff were very helpful and accommodating. Terribly knowledgeable about whiskey ! The exterior made me concerned as it's not an attractive building however the interior is homely - not 5star but not 5 star prices so completely acceptable. The room was spacious -...

Had our Anniversary dinner on Saturday night with B&B and it was a really good night. Lynnfield Lux dinner with great food & wine from Kirkness & Gorie. Great accommodation in Tammie Norrie, biggest bathroom I've seen and really comfy bed. Great breakfast in morning. Will be back

I stayed here for one night whilst in Kirkwall on business. The place looks pretty boring from the outside but becomes something truly wonderful once through the doors. I had a twin room which was huge and decorated in a quirky fashion which really suited the place. The bathroom was enormous and exceptionally clean and the bed was really comfortable...

Hotel looks a bit bland from outside but once inside the interior is cosy, comfortable and charming with loads of character. Our room was spacious, bathroom large and moderrn yet suite maintaining 'old world charm'. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast all freshly cooked and so nice to be able to order your cooked breakfast rather than finding it...

My first stay at the Lynnfield - slightly quirky with all sorts of traditional and local furnishings, pictures, artefacts. The bedrooms are large, with traditional decor and furnishings a continuing theme, like the public areas. Very comfortable bed and very quiet location makes for a good night's sleep. Breakfast and evening meal were of a high standard and traditional, making...

A very pleasant hotel just on the outskirts of Kirkwall next door to a whisky distillery - Highland Park. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious and nicely furnished with antiques. The downstairs sitting rooms had a homely feel with cupboards full of whisky bottles of all varieties. There was a book of tasting notes to go with them....

Stayed here for 3 nights. Our room the Tammie Norrie was huge as was our bedroom and it had a panoramic view of the town. Furniture was characterful. Breakfast was well made and presented. We had dinner there twice and on both occasions was good. My vegetables had been over salted and they were quickly replaced and taken off the...
