I stayed here two nights on a coach tour. I had a very spacious single room well furnished. Next to it is a lounge with kitchen. But I don't know if this is in the information in the rooms. The house is about a mile from town uphill coming back. I didn't find it a problem. Elma might be termed...

The B&B is situated in a residential area and without the aid of Sat nav might have been difficult to find. There is off the road parking outside the front of the property.Several members of my family stayed here for a weekend. The rooms were spaceous, well furnished and spotlessly clean. We had a room with a small, well equipped...

I stayed at the Sanderlay for 2 nights while on a coach tour in Orkney. The owners were away, but their niece was very friendly and helpful, even finding me a map of Kirkwall (we'd arrived quite late and the tourist office was closed by then). My single-person room was small, but very cosy with the usual mod cons I...

This B&B is located in a quiet residential area only 1 mile from the center of Kirkwall (Orkney Islands). We stayed here because it was a rare B&B with a kitchenette. The price was right so it provided good value. The WiFi gave us no trouble and the TV, while old, worked fine. The shower was very good and the...

Four of us arrived at 23.30 on the late ferry from Shetland - as notified. We were regarded like we were a complete inconvenience and nuisance. Immediately instructed to complete breakfast order form while stood just inside front door and chastised for not getting in correct first time. Room was ok but overfurnished for a B&B. Breakfast was very good...

The room we stayed in was by far the largest room throughout the B&Bs. It had a sitting area and a kitchen. Unfortunately, you could tell the B&B used to allow smoking, as it smelled of stale smoke, and the bed was atrociously uncomfortable. Breakfast was done well, however, during check-in and breakfast, we were treated like we were inconvenience...

We stay only 1 night in August, the room was almost an apartment, with kitchen that we use for our dinner (i think it will be better with a table in the room). The breakfast was very good, with all you can expect from a Scottish one. We would recommend this guest house, even if the owner was not so...

Once we found the Sanderlay, not easy with the sat nav taking you to places where you could not go, we were pleased with the rooms. The owner was not that helpful and welcoming so we didn't bother asking for sachets of milk for tea in the room- went to Tesco's. Breakfast was very good and lots of it. I...
