Just home from 2 nights in Orkney at Lerona B&B. The location is great, just a short walk into Kirkwall. We stayed in the twin room (no 2) & our son slept on a z bed which Sylvia had very kindly sourced for us. The place is immaculate & the decor somewhat quirky! Beds are comfy, shower hot & powerful... Pros: Friendly hosts with a cheery outlook. Very clean room, and spacious. Clean towels given every day (as no heated towel rail to dry them). Room we were in had a lovely view of the harbour. Breakfast included fresh fruit in the form of raspberries, strawberries, cherries, blackberries, blueberries and pineapple. 5 mins walk from the centre. Excellent value for... More

We spent one night here in the twin room which was spacious and clean and comfortable. Sylvia is the cutest, friendliest hostess! She wants to make sure everything is taken care of for you including getting enough to eat at breakfast. Her garden is whimsical. It was nicely located to walk into town for dinner and convenient for the ferry.... More

We stayed at Lerona B&B while waiting for the ferry to Stronsay to visit our son. Mrs Delday is the quintessential hostess and welcomed us warmly, showed us to our rooms (second floor walk-up). We were in Room 2 at the top of the steps and had our own bath en suite. The two twins beds were comfy and the... More

You would have to be having a really 'bad hair day' to find fault with this establishment. Despite the fact that our ferry from Shetland docked at 11.00pm and it took a bit of time to get to the B&B the welcome was very courteous. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was an excellent way to start each... More

My wife and son and I stayed at Lerona for 4 nights during February, 2014. Mr. & Mrs. Delday were very pleasant and most helpful at all times. The rooms were very clean and the breakfasts were delicious. The Deldays and Lerona helped make our stay in Kirkwall most enjoyable. The only drawback is that there was no wifi available,... More

this is a nice clean place within walking distance to the town centre and buses etc. Lovely garden and very nice hosts. Breakfast was very nice. Lots of pamphlets in the foyer about what to do and where to go with a lovely lounge room to have tea in if you wish. Regards Lynn

We spent six nights at Lerona and cannot speak too highly of the experience. The breakfasts were fantastic with so many choices . The rooms were spotless , large and most comfortable. Mr and Mrs Delday could not have been more helpful with local information and the lovely lounge ( which was accessible throughout our stay included many great publications... More

We were very happy with our stay at "Lerona" Our hosts were exceptional, very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was one of the best we have had at a B&B, lovely fresh fruit and a great selection. Our room was spacious and very cosy and we enjoyed relaxing in the guest lounge during our stay. The location is very convenient for... More

Lovely place to stay and I enjoyed my time here very much. The hosts Mr and Mrs Delday were very friendly, kind and helpful. My room was preheated before I arrived so very warm and cosy.
