What a fantastic place. Main hotel and external lodges, chalets and apartments in beautifully grounds overlooking the Solent. All manner of activities and sports for young and old with magnificent spar and pool facilities. 2 bars, 2 restaurants. Fantastic friendly staff, free wifi lovely situation near to the Isle of White Ferry terminal. Just on the outskirts of the beautiful...

The pictures of the hotel on their website are very misleading. The beautiful building you see houses only an overpriced restaurant and hosts weddings. If you book a room you will find yourself in what are very dated rooms at the side of the hotel. It certainly feels more of an old fashioned motel than hotel. The rooms are spacious...

Lovely hotel in lovely setting with delightful view over the Solent., but the rooms are all a good walk outdoors along a pathway with steps away from reception and the Restaurant. Upstairs rooms are accessed by wooden outdoor stairs with no lift facilities anywhere. No good in the rain! Not a particularly wide menu which was not too explanatory. charge...

Nice, well maintained en-suite ground floor room with great open outlook onto lovely garden setting. Really enjoyed the pool and sauna. Two comfortable nights stay for our visit to Beaulieu Motor Museum and Portsmouths Fabulous maritime museum. Good selection of buffet breakfast but cooked was dreadful, over priced and could not be eaten. Restuarant was very limited with no atmospere,...

Lovely location. Most rooms are in quite modern purpose built blocks set in the grounds adjacent the old house. They are comfortable and spacious although bathrooms far too small. Staff are all very helpful. Dining in the Waterfront Room was surprisingly good with a varied menu; nice, well presented food and in attractive surroundings. The waiting staff were very attentive....

We checked in here after moving on from sister hotel the Bear at Woodstock and paid here for an upgraded room unlike at the Bear. That is when it becomes interesting as the Bear had a Nespresso machine in the room,a choice of sparkling /still water in your room, magazines, dressing gowns, better hair dryer and a better range of toiletries...

Had a very lovely and relaxing two night stay. Grounds are immaculate and rooms well kept. Ate in restaurant on Friday night, didn't think there was a huge choice on menu, but food was delicious. Had 2 breakfasts and service and variety was very good. If one complaint it would be drinks a little steep at bar

We stayed in a cottage which was extremely well equipped. The property has a Bistro and Fine Dining but we cooked for ourselves. The grounds are extensive and well kept. There is a spa and leisure centre but we were more interested in exploring the local area. The ferry to the Isle of Wight is within walking distance and makes...

Treated my sister to an afternoon tea and spa day here for her birthday, we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. We both had a full body massage and the therapists were amazing. Lauren in particular took her time and engaged with me ensuring I received the best possible treatment. Anthony on the spa reception explained...
