Booked a table for lunch Christmas Eve and chose the two course special. The food was well cooked and presented and what I consider good value for the quality. The young waiting staff made the the experience even better. As I live locally I will definatly use it more often and recommend it to all.

My wife and I were staying overnight, with our dog, while attending a club party in Ross. The welcome was lovely with attention being shown to our dog too and we soon had our room. There was an offer to carry our bags which we declined. Our room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Probably my only...

It is always difficult choosing where to stay but I would recommend the King's Head. We stayed here overnight and were not disappointed. Attractive old bar, comfortably furnished, and equally attractive "library" room adjacent. Our dog was welcome in the bar and library (where we ate), which can be a problem in other establishments. Our room on the second floor...

We sneaked away for a cheeky birthday weekend without the kids to Ross on Wye. This hotel made a great base for exploring Ross, the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. Our room was traditional and well-sorted and the shower room was modern and clean. On the first night of our stay we dined in the restaurant and had...

Just had 3 nights here with friends. Would definitely recommend for a short break. Had room 12 on the second floor which was really spacious. As previously mentioned though it would be no good for anyone with mobility issues. Bed was comfortable, good hot beverage tray with biscuits and complimentary bottled water. The breakfasts were lovely with lots of choice...

We stayed here for two nights in room number 3, which had the four poster bed. Room was fairly small but we were fine with that as it was spotlessly clean. Bathroom looked newly renovated and had a lovely large walk-in shower. Great position in the centre of town with plenty of free parking at the hotel. Our room overlooked...

Great hotel with bar and restaurant downstairs. We had the family room with bathroom inbetween adjoining rooms. There were twin beds in one room and a double in the other room. Really comfortable bed and plenty of room for suitcases and clothes. Had a lovely English veggie breakfast in the morning before heading off to explore the town. Staff were...

A birthday treat to visit one of my favourite towns and hotel and we were not disappointed again. The room was spotless warm and well equipped with all items required. The beer was top notch and it was really good to relax in the " library " and chill out with my papers. The food in the restaurant was again...
