A warm and relaxed atmostphere made this a very pleasant place to take a nights break on the way from Pembrokeshire to Stockton on Tees. A clean and comfortable suite of rooms was available for the 5 of us. A great many steps in this Inn built on the valley side. With thanks to the enthusiastic staff

Stayed for one night..the staff were lovely..friendly and efficient..we were made to feel welcome and there was a relaxed atmosphere. Room 1 was clean and appeared freshly decorated..bathroom although clean was a little tired. The bed was REALLY comfy..We ate in the conservatory in the evening and again for breakfast ..stunning views over the Wye to the countryside beyond. We...

Arrived for an overnight stay having booked double room. Car park at rear gives you access down steep stairs into the hotel - this entrance door was not welcoming and in need of a clean and coat of paint. This was the issue with the whole of the premises, doors and walls looked dirty and needed repainting and decor was...

We stayed here over night in a chalet room. The receptionist was quite unhelpful and struggled to get his head around the idea that 2 rooms had been booked in the same booking! Once the confusion had been rectified we made our way to the room! The rooms are certainly dated with a little mold in the bathroom and could...

Called in for an evening meal on a Thursday in Easter week.. Plenty of tables available. Were shown to a table close to the window, watched the sun set over the distant hill. My friend and I chose the beef lasagne with garlic bread and salad. This was delicious, with plenty of beef and cheese topping and not swimming in...

My wife and I stayed overnight in one of the chalet rooms. The room itself was quite compact but adequate for our needs. The main problem was that there were no knobs on the bathroom radiator making it impossible to turn it down. Consequently it was far too hot. In the bedroom the radiator controls were so stiff that my...

We held a charity ball at the venue to fundraisers for the British Heart Foundation and I can't speak highly enough of the support they provided. The buffet food was outstanding, staff friendly and the venue decorated beautifully. Thanks Kirsty and all the staff xx

Myself and partner stayed here for 4 nights over the Easter holidays. This place is lovely, quiet, has fantastic views and amazing people! The room is lovely and clean, well decorated and has everything you need. The food is proper pub grub and at an excellent price....also a nice variety of alcohol! There is plenty of activities and site seeing...

Stayed in chalet room 15. Spotlessly clean, very comfy bed and bedding. We didn't have dinner here but had breakfast which was excellent. Served by the very helpful, courteous and eloquent Toby who took time out to help and advise us about places to visit. Would stay again.

Thank Claire B
