We stayed at Woodside cottages with our 3 kids aged 7, 4 and 2. The cottages are really spacious and well laid out, and there was plenty of room inside and outdoors for the kids to run around and play. They are extremely well-equipped and comfortable, and the owners have thought of pretty much everything. The welcome pack was a...

We booked the cottages for a relaxing winter break. We live near Bath and our son and daughter in law live twenty minutes south. They were expecting their second baby during our stay so it gave us the opportunity to look after their first child during appointments and while waiting for the delivery in the nearby hospital. Unfortunately the baby...

My mother and I stayed at Woodside cottages for three nights and 10 minutes into our stay we both agreed that we'd like to return! The location is perfect for exploring the local area, we visited Ashdown Forest, Pooh corner, Sussex Park and the Bluebell Railway, all within a 5-20min drive. The cottage itself spotlessly clean, comfortable, peaceful and is...

We booked the cottages for several weeks as a base while we visited family nearby and also went touring over southern England. The cottages are spacious and extremely well-appointed for a home away from home and the welcoming hamper was a lovely touch. The cottages are separate from the farmhouse and are very private. The new owners Nick and Nicole...

We booked a week at Woodside because my daughter was working nearby and we all needed a break. Its only 10 mins drive from Uckfield, but so quiet. Being a towny it was a great surprise at how peaceful it was both at night and during the day. We were lucky with the weather so we spent several afternoons just...

We booked both cottages for a long weekend in May. It was for a family wedding nearby. The cottages have been done very nicely with attention to detail. They are very comfortable, I could happily have stayed a week. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch which you don't get in many cottages, fab cake. The kids loved running around...

Great accommodation for a young family, and really quiet and safe location. The kids loved the space and seeing the sheep in the field next to the cottage. Good location for the Bluebell Railway and Bodiam castle.

We stayed for a long weekend to go to a friend's wedding nearby. The cottage / chalet was very clean tidy and well-appointed. Everything you could need for a stay. The cake on arrival was a great touch too. There's a great beer garden at the Chequer's in Maresfield. Double thumbs up!

We had a fabulous weekend family break at Woodside Cottages. The cottage was very comfortable and better equipped than any previous cottage we have stayed in. The setting is very peaceful and the children loved running around the garden area even when the weather was freezing! The welcome hamper was one of many examples of the attention to detail. We...

We found these cottages while looking for accommodation for 3 generations of the family while attending a wedding nearby. We booked both cottages for 3 nights and they were perfect. The flexibility to book the number of nights we needed was great. The welcoming touches including hamper and home made cake were much appreciated. The cottages were equipped to a...

“If you fill the cottage(s), The price per person per night is excellent and way cheaper than what else is on offer in the local area. Top marks!! Also if there is a mini-crisis, the owners are on hand to assist 24/7.”
