Stayed for one night with my family and our dog. The lady placed us in a large family room which was good of her. The room was for disabled use. Basic amenities...no plates/ cutlery. The room was dusty and had hair all over the floor. The bed was grubby and the towels were smelly. On the plus side the breakfast...

What are people missing out on! Great food, value for money and a good bit of banter. We will be back, Dad said beer was good too. Even car park markings done the right way, diagonal so you can get more cars in without awkward manovering.

Very basic tired country pub. Twin room bed headboards stained, bedding clean but very old. No water at all for a time in morning? Evening meal standard pub fair, breakfast poor, gristle in sausages, undercooked mushrooms. Very poor service, tables not cleared after cereal so no room for main plate and toast. If you want toast make sure you put...

We booked The Halfway House,as it said it was dog friendly,we weren't disappointed. We found it,just a mile outside Yeovil on the A37. We were so impressed when we drove in,there were lots of lodges set by the car park and overlooking a field and lake. We had a good welcome and checked in to lodge 1. The room was...

Booked last minute and had a lovely warm welcome . Ordered food it came really quickly despite there being a birthday party there, it was piping food and lovely. There was a problem with fire alarm but the staff took it in their stride and dealt with it calmly and professionally. Tasty breakfast served by the welcoming member of staff...

I reviewed the Carvery here a few years ago and it was good then, but in the intervening years it has got better and better. Sunday Roast used to be about Cabbage boiled until it surrendered and sometimes more swede than roast potatoes, but at the Halfway House Inn, the carvery is exceptional in both taste and coulour. A bright....

4 visits in 2 months, it's a pub with rooms. Nothing posh or fancy but what you would expect for the money. Nice breakfast. Food and drink good. Staff pleasant. Price reasonable. One room had no windows, not a major issue so on the whole all round great. See you soon THHI.

Clean comfortable and warm accommodation with a friendly and efficient welcome and check in. The first place that I've ever stayed where the receptionist has bothered showing me the fire exit. The breakfast was good with a wide range of cereals, yoghurts etc. plus a full English available if required. I can envisage a bit of a queue for the...

I stayed here as was working locally and was limited availability but I was very happy with my stay. The accommodation was separate mezzanine apartments and was very spacious with a small lounge area, bathroom and bedroom upstairs. Its a bit rough round the edges ( few knocks and bit of dust) so if you're looking for 5* its not...
