we stayed here for 2 nights during the Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone. The owners went out of their way to ensure our stay was pleasant and were more than happy to provide an earlier breakfast as we were leaving each morning for the circuit. The room at the front was a little noisy due to traffic but otherwise top...

Must start by saying the staff were exemplary couldn't do more for you on arrival breakfast and on departure. Rooms were clean spacious and comfortable. I only have one criticism is that whoever was staying above us or lived above us were walking up and down at regular intervals all through the night ie 10 pm 12pm 2am 4am 6am...

Very nice guest house, well placed for Banbury Cross and several restaurants (Voujon being a particular favourite). The staff were friendly and helpful; the room, in the extension, was clean and we were able to sit outside in the sun in the evening. Parking is ample, and Banbury is an excellent base to visit nearby Oxford by train. The highlight,...

The location close to the rally was fine. Our room was on the third floor not great when you are over 65 and have pre booked well ahead. Rooms in the loft are hot and not over large. The visit was spoilt by inconsiderate guests crashing about and shouting after midnight.

This is a substantial late Victorian early Edwardian house, with elegant well proportioned rooms. Plenty of parking and clean and tidy. We were greeted by the owner, who asked if we needed help with our luggage -which we didn't. As I was travelling with my elderly mother, we had two singles. Both rooms were well furnished and had comfortable beds....

One night stay for a wedding nearby, this hotel was very good for our needs and good value considering breakfast was included. We were able to check-in earlier than expected and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable for what we needed. Special mention for the staff at The Fairlawns as we accidentally left something in the room as we...

I was up in Banbury over the Bank Holiday for a Wedding and based on recommendations of local hotels, I booked the Fairlawns. I had a really nice stay and the Guest House was perfectly located for where I was being picked up for the Wedding. I stayed in room 14, the room directly to the left as you go...

The building itself looks lovely but we stayed in a 'chalet' at the back of the main building. Room was basic with only a double.......would expect a kingsize. It was okay but did remind us of an old peoples residence. It was clean but not really clean and the bathroom was tiny with a very small sink in it. You...

What lovely people Maureen and Alan are, they inform you of places of interest, pubs and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was more than filling and they are very accommodating to special requests. The rooms we found to spacious with towels and toiletries provided as well as tea & coffee. I would recommend Fairlawns Guest House to any traveller. Thanks again...
