I could not fault this place at all. Our hosts were lovely and the room had every conceivable item you could need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was amazing and the room was lovely. The setting is very quiet and perfect if you like walking.

Was lucky enough to stay here when attending a local wedding. Gary and Lynn were fantastic hosts - friendly, patient and accommodating. The rooms are clean, nicely appointed and in an annex - so there is freedom to come and go as needed. My favourite thing about the Smithy was the breakfast - possibly the best fried eggs I've ever... We stayed here as a base for a local Wedding and it was perfect. Gary and Lynn were excellent hosts - helpful, knowledgeable and Gary whipped up a smashing cooked breakfast. The rooms were large and comfortable with en-suites. It was a bit chilly overnight but there were plenty of heaters for use and plenty of blankets. The B&B is... More

I was one of a party of five who spent two nights at The Smithy. The rooms were clean and charming, the breakfasts excellent and the owners, Gary and Lynn could not have been more welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a lovely weekend at Lynn and Gary's B&B. The room we stayed in, Bellows, was spacious yet cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Lynn and Gary were perfect hosts; they helpfully gave us some great advice on good local walking spots to explore the beautiful scenery. The breakfast was fantastic - couldn't have asked for more.... Well, quite possibly the best little B&B we've stayed at. Beautiful location and the bedrooms are so well decorated and quirky. The owners clearly love their job and make you feel so welcome when you arrive even going as far as making a reservation for us at a local pub for dinner. Breakfast in the old forge is fantastic with... More

We had a lovely few days at The Smithy, beautiful room, really comfy bed, breakfast wonderful in such a beautiful room. Lynn and Gary were brilliant, lots of helpful tips on the local area, would definitely go back. Ideally placed to visit lots of beautiful places in the Peaks.

My wife and I stayed at The Smithy for our anniversary a few weeks ago and we were extremely impressed. The location is very scenic and quiet (a little difficult to spot from the road) but within walking distance of a nice pub, restaurant (Lynn even made reservations for us) and the Tissington Trail where we went for a wander.... We stayed in the Swage, a lovely room with a very comfortable bed. The room had everything you could possibly need, including local information, walks, places to eat. Plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits. A lovely touch, bottled water is available in a fridge just outside the rooms. There is a lovely lounge with WiFi and breakfast is served... More

The room was beautifully decorated and it had everything I could have wanted including lots of tourist information. The bed was very comfortable, I slept very well and there was lots of hot water. The breakfast every morning was delicious and Gary and Lynn were very welcoming and had good advice on touring in the Peak District.
