Booked a night there last minute, we wanted to stay somewhere with a spa but gave this a go. Well worth it! The hotel is full of character! It is spotlessly clean, staff are helpful and friendly and good value too! The breakfast was also very nice. The best bit for me was the old fashioned lift! Well worth a...

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the centre of Buxton, don't look any further. Excellent location with lovely rooms and lots of cosy places to have a drink and relax. The Old Hall Hotel is steeped in history and ideally located to enjoy Buxton. The staff are very friendly and professional. A very well run hotel.

I stayed at the Old Hall Hotel in Buxton for one night in late December as a guest of a wedding party. I had room number three at the front of the hotel, which overlooked the park. As I did not pay for this room, it wouldn't have been my first choice as there is noise from the road, and...

A return visit to this lovely old hotel, this time staying in the main part of the hotel. A great big sumptuous room, wonderful furnishings and marvellous room service. As always the staff were brilliant and they could not do enough to help. Food was very good, we had dinner on the first night, a great big sharing platter. The...

Having travelled from the US to visit relatives in the greater region, I couldn't have made a better choice to serve as a base. In particular, I was impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. My room was very comfortable, the location ideal for seeing the town and all at a reasonable cost.

I would recommend that anyone planning a lively village break should consider staying at the Old Hall. I recently arranged a reunion between a group of 6 friends, and booked 3 rooms for the couples to stay in. All our rooms were immaculate, with lots of quirky features that made them feel that little bit more special. The staff on...

Fantastic location for the theatre, this is typical olde worldly town centre hotel with a fantastic history and friendy staff. If you are traveling as a group then book the loft as it accomodates up 5 people. Only missed the top mark due to breakfast being delayed as everyone turned up at once. We gave up after 50 mins but...

My hubbie booked a surprise overnight stay at this hotel. He booked one of the rooms with a four poster bed and it was lovely! Loved the quirky low door frame on entering and all of it's characterful creaks when walking round lol!. The bed was the biggest and most comfortable I've ever slept in!!!
