My friend, my dog and I stayed here for two very enjoyable nights. The rooms were spotless and the owner and staff were so friendly, helpful (above and beyond in the owner's case) and attentive. Dinner was enjoyable and breakfast overlooking the water was delicious.

From the outside, the building is stunning and very idyllic. Inside is in some need of repair (which we know is being done by the lovely owner Richard) but this didn’t hamper our stay at all. People need to understand that it is a listed building and any repair work that can be done costs thousands of pounds. Our room...

My husband and I went to this Hotel for a last minute break, not expecting too much, but were pleasantly surprised! The staff were lovely and the owner, Richard, is putting his heart and soul into renovating this beautiful old building! Hats off to him! We had a lovely time in Dunoon, comfortable bed, beautiful views and for the money,...

Read some of the reviews for this hotel and we are lost for words.I Think some of these reviews must be for somewhere else. We stayed in the Arran room. It was fantastic. Clean and tidy with a vintage feel that was great. The owner (Richard) was so helpful and chatted with us on numerous occasions asking us if everything...

The room looked straight across from the pier & the view was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. During our stay the weather was...

Hotel a bit tired (work in progress) but staff and food more than made up for it.The room was really nice and overlooked the loch. The food was excellent, both for dinner and breakfast. The hotel is straight across the road from the car ferry and short drive into Dunoon itself. i will visit this hotel again.

If you're a fan a Fawlty Towers this is hotel for you. We had a sea view room which although the furnishing was dated is was clean. The breakfast was delicious and staff could not do enough for us. The event was a wedding and despite the ageing condition of the furnishing the reception hall was immaculate and the staff...
