A marvellous hotel, rooms so clean.the bed was out of this world. The site for the hotel is brilliant, overlooking the canal and the basin with the narrow boats, and main shopping only a small walk away. Tried the restaurant, very disappointed, steaks tough and gristly, went to bed hungry!!

Always perfect. I have been here at least 12 times and intend to revisit several more times. Very attentive friendly staff, good, clean rooms, good food. I love coming in all seasons but especially Christmas when the barges are covered in lights, very pretty and festive. Convenient for town and train station. I come alone or with family to meet...

Checked in late on the 7th January and a lovely lady checked us in (sorry i don't remember your name!) she was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It is obvious the best asset of this hotel is the staff. Room is great, very quiet even near the main road i couldn't hear a thing. I am a...

This hotel offered everything we could have dreamed of, from polite friendly and helpful staff to 5* facilities for the disabled traveller. Everything they claimed to be good at this hotel exceeded expectations. Only a couple of minutes walk to the town centre yet a very tranquil location right at the side of the canal.

Thank you for your review. We have disabled parking right outside reception and a choice of rooms suitable for people with disabilities. We have an excellent ground floor room with wheelchair access and a large wet-room. If /when you stay again, you can get in touch with us before your stay and ask for a certain room if you like....

Excellent hotel in walking distance of the centre of town with plenty of free parking. Interesting location next to a canal with lots of narrow boats and bridle pathways. Really friendly staff and good food. Great value.

The location is the aspect of the hotel that most people remark on, hidden away suprisingly close to the centre of town. It's very picturesque with the narrowboats and the canal. I'll pass your comments on to the staff, thank you :) Tony

I had a perfect stay here. The location was very pretty by the canal, with the barges decorated and lit up for Christmas. The Aspley is attractively a few steps away, although I didn’t eat there so can't comment. I must praise the staff who were extremely helpful and pleasant. The gentleman on duty at the desk when I arrived...

Can't fault the Premier Inn crew. They couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. Great accommodation for the price. Really disappointed with Aspley though (who were supplying the PM breakfast). Went in at 10.50 only to be told it 'wasn't worth' us having the breakfast as they were 'clearing away'. Then we were advised to go somewhere else. Lenny would...

Stayed here for an overnight stay prior to a visit with my Daughter to the University? Lovely hotel, brilliant location, and a really lovely lady on reception, apologies and very remiss, I can't recall her name. She was so kind, helpful and restores ones faith that some people have been brought up properly with great manners and a genuine kindness...

Stayed for two nights. Had a ground floor room overlooking the canal boats - very nice. Room overall very clean, very comfortable beds with crisp, fresh linen. I had the continental breakfast and my sister had the full English - all very good. Staff very helpful. Would definitely stay again.
