We enjoyed a fabulous Christmas party night here on Friday. Excellent food, great service from very friendly staff, fab DJ, absolutely stunning bedroom and delicious breakfast with a wide range of options. We will be staying here again soon! Fantastic from start to finish.

I went with a group of friends for our Christmas do , although it was earlie being the end of November the place seemed very festive with Xmas music and even a local brass band playing Christmas songs after main course , the food was to Die for , I had bruschetta , turkey dinner (which Evan had a huge...

I'm amazed at the reviews on here. We have just had our works Christmas party here on friday night. The food was terrible! I think the chef will have run out of salt as they must have used it all on our meal! I could only eat part of my Yorkshire pudding as my knife wouldn't cut through the rest....

Great hotel and amazing staff who are so hospitable, friendly and go the extra mile to make everyone enjoy their stay. The food is wonderful and the brownie is simply amazing - credit to chef. Would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights recently. The hotel is in a good location and despite being relatively near the m62 motorway is relatively quiet. The public rooms are reasonable and the bar restaurant pretty good. However the hotel is a little tired and shabby in places with corridor carpets threadbare, paintwork patchy and grouting around...

We stayed here for one night on a coach tour. We understand that the hotel receives a reduced rate for coach trippers but there's no excuse for making guests feel they're being herded like cattle. In the dining room we were confined to a few numbered tables, crowded together in one end of the room with the reason given as...

First floor, twinned shared with my niece We were on an organised coach tour. Hotel was clean, staff friendly, and good food. Was better than staying in a big hotel. The grounds were well kept and there was a small golf course for anyone interested. Just two floors to the hotel, stairs were easy to ascend.

I stayed at The Old Golf House Hotel whilst on business in Yorkshire. The hotel is stunningly decorated. I stayed in an executive room (No: 49), this room is a must, very spacious with the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. The room included all the amenities you would expect from a high standard hotel.

We stayed over having been invited to a wedding here. We checked in and the receptionist offered us the wedding price which cost us about £7 more but included breakfast!! Bargain! The rooms were clean and comfortable we were just down the hall from reception and thought it may be a bit noisy but it was fine. Service at the...

To put it bluntly the room we stayed in was "grubby". I did ask at reception to have the stained valance sheet changed while we were out for the day but that didn't happen. Hairdryer nearly deafened me and the room smelt very odd and a little unpleasant. Bathroom was small, no hand soap was provided in the bathroom which...
