A lovely room with modern decor, clean and well appointed. Ample off road parking. Unfortunately the information when using booking.com was not correct and messages sent to the hotel were not relayed. There is no deaf alerter availability. Staff helpful but not deaf aware.

Stayed here for work as it was far cheaper than the local premier inns. Room was great, nice bathroom, comfy bed, there was a fridge in the room as well. Nice location for a wander into Huddersfield town centre, check out a few restaurants underneath the viaduct. Free car park was also a bonus

Arrived in Huddersfield on a coach, straight away saw signs for Cambridge Hotel so this calmed down any nerves, they also gave me excellent directions over the phone. The hotel is very clean and well designed, the staff at the front desk are friendly (even when I kept asking loads of questions) and I felt safe in this area. The...

Nice hotel - clearly not part of a chain more a family establishment so in places a bit jumbled and cobbled together. However - rooms were very comfortable, service at main desk was excellent. Breakfast was excellent too. Free parking as well and free wifi. The bar is ok when it's not too busy - but when crowded they either...

The price was budget but the hotel delivers far more. Very clean and quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you need a bed in Huddersfield. I didn't use the restaurant but it appeared very modern and spotlessly clean.

OK, I confess: on this occasion my booking was based (almost) solely on price - and the Cambridge Hotel scored really well. This meant that I really wasn't expecting much - which made what I found even more remarkable! This is one of the cleanest, most comfortable and unobtrusively friendly hotels I have stayed in. The room (£46.50 incl breakfast)...

I booked a one night stay directly with the hotel, requested a single occupancy, single bed, single room with breakfast. I wasn't disappointed, quick and easy check in, free wifi, I had a top floor room, very compact in the eaves but I'd asked for a single room and was more than pleased with the furnishings, fittings and decor. The...

We stayed here for one night. It was very good value for money a clean comfortable room and very helpful staff. Good location within walking distance of town centre and football stadium. We didn't have breakfast but it was good value and looked to be of a good standard. We would definitely return.

So there were some bad reviews for this hotel, but far more good ones. I only needed a two night stay and somewhere to rest my head so booked an economy single room as - please note - I only needed somewhere to sleep and shower. (If I had intended on spending more time in the room I would have...
