This is a beautiful 18th Century luxury hotel, the decor has been so tastefully done, the rooms are all exquisite. There are lovely seating areas in the garden to sit and have coffee or a drink. Breakfast is first class, very good choice. Frank and Joe are excellent hosts, most delightful choice, we would highly recommend it.

Stayed here when visiting for a family event in Dunster. Lovely clean comfy room. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very well maintained. Nice cooked breakfast but also a choice of fruit, cereals and pastry. There are lots of knick knacks..Victorian silhouettes, tea cups and other decorative things throughout the place but it doesn't feel fussy...

I stayed here on my return journey home from a holiday in the south west. I was tried and beat, as I had been riding about the area all day on my trike, intending to find a pitch and camp for the night, but i was so tired and just wanted a good rest in a peaceful place. Well I...

The hotel is absolutely spotless, well appointed, great breakfast and great hosts. Do yourself a favour and try this hotel you will not be disappointed. Fairly central to all the attractions the area has to offer.

I you're used to staying in chain hotels this might not be for you, however if you're looking for a quirky hotel with eclectic decor and furnishing then this is spot on, it's very clean and tidy, the host was very welcoming, check in was quick and painless, we slept well until 04.30 when the seagulls woke us, probably our...

Stayed here for a wedding down the road in Whedding Cross. They accommodated our needs and made us feel welcome. Nice rooms. My only negative is that the breakfast finished too early (9.30) would have liked until 10.00, but it was a very good. But this wouldn't stop me staying here again.

A very nice hotel, clean and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfy. Breakfast the next morning was tasty, a choice of cereals, yoghurt and fruits, fresh juice and hot cooked food too. Would definitely choose stay here again

This is a very well presented hotel. We were met at the door by the owner with a very friendly and welcoming greeting and he ensured that our every need was catered for throughout our two night stay ~ nothing was too much trouble. The room we had was one of the smallest, but still very spacious and well provisioned....

I recently spent one night, on my own, at this hotel. The two hotels I would normally choose were fully-booked and this was my first visit to Alcombe House. Without hesitation, I will now add it to my favourites list! Off-road parking, tastefully decorated, comfortable well-equipped and furnished room with an excellent breakfast sum up this superb establishment. Frank and...
