We had a lovely evening, we both enjoyed a fantastic meal from the valentine menu and perfect service. There was a great choice, we struggled to choose as it all sounded so good! The Carnarvon has a great atmosphere and all staff were very welcoming. Tom our waiter was both friendly and professional and went the extra mile. Looking forward...

Pleasant place to drop in on a freezing day, not much choice. Nice enough ambience staff a little reserved, a smile would not go amiss. Nice location for shops cafes and pubs. Generally quiet on main road but not busy.

Fancied a change so ordered the nut roast with goats cheese (no I am not a vegetarian), it was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and even though we sat for a long time after lunch was finished the staff were very gracious.

Having visited this restaurant earlier this month and given a less than favourable review, we were invited by the manager to pay a second visit. He and his staff wanted to show us that our experience had not been of their normal standard. We were warmly greeted and shown to a pleasant table in the dining room. The service we...

We have visited this pub twice in the last couple of months and both meals were excellent. We have had the Sunday roast on both occasions and the meals cannot be faulted. The roast beef is the most tender and tasty we have tasted in a long time. The servings are generous with more than enough veg and roast potatoes...

Stayed here prior to a visit to the nearby Highclere castle. A friendly welcome and a warm and cosy feel to the whole place and most of all a lovely chilled out feeling. The complimentary continental breakfast was something that I didn't expect when booking.
