On 23November at about 1 pm my Partner and myself called in at the Ivanhoe Restaurant for a light lunch. First impressions were good with plenty of parking, the décor had been updated and the staff were pleasant. We had, however, the place to ourselves which was probably not such a good sign. We ordered salt and pepper squid and...

The wife and I stayed for 1 night in November. The room was nice and clean, but if I'm nit picking the TV was a bit small. We both had a sandwich for lunch which was very good and plenty of choice of beers. The breakfast in the morning was excellent (about 7 or eight items on the plate -...

Whilst I got the room at very discounted price due to late booking I would have been extremely disappointed had I paid the full rate. Room was in poor decorative state in particular the bathroom which was also tiny. On a positive the lady working was very friendly and made people feel welcome, certainly would not stay at full price

Went for a quick bite to eat with friends. Staff were prompt with service however the place lacked atmosphere and the food wasn't brilliant. I had a korma curry which was far hotter then you would expect from a korma so had to leave it. There appeared to be one song on loop and we were told that it couldn't...

My wife and I booked a one night stay at the Ivanhoe as we had attended the evening Dracula play at Whitby Abbey. We checked in about 10pm and had a couple of drinks in the bar, where there was live music. (I think the artist was called Danny Cline and was a cross between Peter Barlow from Coronation Street...

My granddaughter and her mother took me to Scarborough for the day to have a meal, Ingrid had seen The Ivanhoe and decided we would have lunch here. We arrived there about 12.30 and ordered our food, it took ages plus the waitress came and told me that there were no new potatoes available, which was upsetting as I dislike...

We recently stayed at this hotel - a very last minute decision. The staff were really friendly, the room was clean and for £36 for the small double, I honestly couldn't complain! This price also included breakfast which was lovely. We also had a meal in the pub and it was really nice food!

Unlike our previous review of a pub in Scarborough this one did not disappoint. I was after a quick bite to eat with my sister. The menu was good and I picked a chick pea curry, whilst my sister just wanted nachos with dips etc. The order was quickly taken and as we sat down we were invited to do...
