Charming interior, Staff very friendly although staff level seems very low, often no one around at all. I didn't see any other guests at any time which was quite strange. breakfast sounds lovely, looking at other posts, but as it doesn't start till 8 am, business users may have to miss out as I did. Went to Palm Court around...

This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location, the room was small but very clean. The only downside we found was the lack of parking but the multi storey car park is only a minutes walk away but this added £10 to the cost of the stay. Break fast wes lovely but would prefer a choice of coffee.

Entrance and communal areas including the breakfast room were lovely, very welcoming and cosy. However, when we started to walk to our room on the upper floor the decor was a bit dated and not as nice as the entrance. The rooms were fine, very small and so were the beds but it did the job for a short visit....

Stayed here for one night in may but was very disappointed. We have always liked the look of this hotel from the outside but the rooms are very dated and shabby. The floor boards were very creaky and was hard to move round the room quietly at night. We were also quite near the lift which was also very noisy...

Booked a one night stay at the Riviera Hotel due to its location near the Spa Complex. Wasn't a good start due to lack of parking outside and had to drive around trying to find a parking place and felt annoyed at having a bit of a walk to the hotel. There is a Multi Storey nearby but costly. However,...

Room was far too expensive at over £270 for 2 adults and a child for two nights A bit dated and VERY noisy at night from all the carrying on in the street below but that's not the hotel's fault. Staff friendly, rooms clean and comfy, parking a problem.

Stayed in the Riviera for the second time, lovely hotel, clean and tidy...beautiful breakfast room with a good choice of breakfast. Anyone wanting a good friendly central hotel in Scarbough should choose the Riviera.

Excellent, this was my abode after the disaster at the Grand. 28-31 May 2015. Stayed three nights. It was a pleasure, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was five stars plus. All the staff were very polite, efficient and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. I can highly recommend this hotel. I will be visiting again.

A lovely old hotel, decor is of good standard but dated, room had a terrible view, rooftops and back of buildings. Room comfy and warm, breakfast very good, staff very polite and helpful, we would stay here again but with a nicer view please
