This review would have been 5/5 as we couldnt fault the hotel, staff or location BUT we didnt get any sleep due to the poor quality of the bed. We were in Room 7 and the double bed was very cheap and uncomfortable and creaked and groaned with every move. after two nights we were ready for a good night... More

We often come up to North Yorkshire to visit relatives but our usual accommodation wasn't available so we searched further afield and found this place in Scarborough. It turned out to have been a great choice and we will definitely come back again. It is perfectly located on the north shore; we had rooms 12 and 14 on the top... More

Just come back from a long weekend at the Rockside Hotel and all I can say is that we didn't want to leave. From the moment we arrived we received a warm welcome. Our family room had everything we could want and was very spacious. Breakfast was always delicious and we especially liked the honesty bar/living area. We were there... More

Thank you, Rockside Hotel, for a fabulous Easter weekend! Just getting around to writing this review but wanted to express our thanks for a wonderful stay. Our sea-view room was immaculate, comfortable and welcoming. The owners, Darryl and Sarah were very helpful and friendly, as were the other friendly faces we met along the way. The resident lounge bar was... More

Arriving at this pretty hotel we were greeted by the friendly staff and taken to a very clean sea-view room. Unfortunately the foot of the bed was so close to the wall, that you had to shuffle sideways to pass it to the window. The bed was also particularly hard. For location and friendliness this hotel is hard to beat,... More

We stayed for one night during the easter break and thought this hotel was fab! Excellent location right on the cliff top overlooking the bay. We had a suite with no view, but that was fine as we just rested and slept there. We used the bar/lounge facility to admire the view get a drink from the honesty bar where... More
