We spent 10 days in a converted railway carriage (called Oscar) at this old station on the old Scarborough to Whitby line now closed. It was great-beautifully refurbished with comfortable bedroom and en suite, a well equipped kitchen and yet it still retains it character as a railway carriage. It's secluded enough for quiet and solitude. We heartily recommend it...

if you want an amazing breakfast, that's different every day, a lovely couple who have been running the Cloughton Station House for over 20 years, you can't go wrong in staying here. We took over the two rooms as a family of 5 (max 6). 1 double and 1 family room with bunkbeds. The disused railway line is on your...

We called in one morning about 10.45 The sun was out, the tables spotlessly clean , the lawn was cut and the tables nicely spaced out We ordered bacon butties and they were excellent, the tea was hot and plentiful and the coffee was strong just as I had ordered it. We did not want to leave and we are...

Wonderful ambiance with the lawn and tea service. Outstanding breakfast, especially the potato cakes! Ask to watch the video of the railroad history. We walked both the adjacent cindertrack, and also ventured out to the coast, where there is another walking trail. Got a bit lost, but all trails lead back to Cloughton, (eventually, he he). Great location for exploring...

Really enjoyed our weekend. Super large bedroom (the old ticket office), nice en suite bathroom - all absolutely spotless. Best/largest breakfast ever. Friendly hosts. Nice quiet location in a country side setting adjacent to a walk along the old scarborough/ravenscar railway line. Good local pubs serving good evening food within walking distance or short drive, and well located for scarborough....

This property is a real delight. The accommodation is spacious, clean and nicely equipped. Although tractors can be noisy there aren't really a lot of them. Most of the Noise comes from the local wildlife, mainly the crows and wood pigeons. Even With 4 flats on the site it never seems crowded due to the large garden and the adjacent...

Lunched on the platform of the old Cloughton Station, waitress service excellent - all staff friendly and charming. Food was excellent - really fresh salads and tasty food served in good portion sizes at very reasonable prices. Gardens and surroundings are lovely - if you are anywhere nearby be sure to pay a visit
