Was very disappointed with the staff and duty manager when we checked out off the hotel and discovered they had double charged us for the stay. Not even a sorry after taking most of our holiday money.

Stayed here for work over a weekend with a large group of colleagues the Hotel could do with a make over looking a bit old fashioned and run down but the location is excellent been sea front even thou my room looked at back walls. My room was in the rafters in the top of the hotel which was fine...

We had a lovely long weekend here as we just love Scarborough! The location of the hotel is fantastic and we had a large room to the rear of the building (no view but no road noise either). Considering what we paid I thought it was excellent value for money. Staff extremely helpful, clean rooms, great choice at buffet meals...

Why oh why didn't I read the reviews before I booked. A Grand old building, opulent, majestic in its day, but now lacking any aspect that guests expect in a hotel, except for one, the staff were all friendly and polite. The main rooms tired and tatty. Some of the corridors (rear stairs access to pool room) downright dirty and...

I'd like to say this hotel lived up to my expectations and that all the other countless reviews were wrong but sadly it's not. This is a very tired old hotel and for some reason Britannia (the owners) seem to be leaving it to fall apart. My room was ok, i didn't expect anything fabulous, it was clean and tidy,...

Spent one night here following a show at the Spa. Lovely building, although inside quite dated. Excellent location. Room clean and tidy but lots of street noise until 4am. Nice breakfast buffet but on the smallest plates!

Grand Facade and beautiful main entrance, But ! When you get to your room reality hits home, Every floor looks as if the building is collapsing ,there was a 2" gap at one end of the door tapering to nothing at the other-(SMOKE HAZARD) in a fire, beds , cabinets , wardrobes, and doors are all on a slant !...

The jazz promises to be good but this hotel is dire. Long queues for a single lift, hopeless for anyone with mobility problems I knew they had no parking but had not realised how expensive it would be. We are in the NCP all weekend, no spaces where they said there may be. Queues for the buffet, uninspiring food Whole...

This Hotel is in an excellent position, the bedrooms are lovely and very clean, they have however cut back on staff, which led to a not very pleasant experience on our first night when we went for dinner, we were shown to our table 15 mins later we were brought the menu, we then had to attract someone's attention to...
