Turn back the clock to 1900 and something, and the Mount Hotel would have been exceptional. What's still good, and shouldn't change: - breath taking sea views from the front facing rooms - large spacious suites (we stayed in room 21 with bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and walk-in closet). - sensational breakfast, served by excellent hospitable staff. - late bar....

I really can not tell you how good the mount hotel is, fantastic staff and owner, we went here for a family meal, the food was excellent and the silver service by our brilliant waiter ken is something that is missed in this fast food ere! Warm welcome greats all, in a very relaxed setting, we will be back again...

The communal areas are well spaced and clean. We were a little confused when we arrived as we were greeted by a man and woman who didn't introduce themselves - we thought they were guests who had brought their dog. They were the owner/manager? The Bedroom and bathroom were both large and clean. The large bed was comfy and the...

Although dated, The Mount is very nice hotel. The location is great, and a room with a sea view is a must. The staff were all very friendly, and the hotel had a relaxed, homely, atmosphere. There were some small niggles. One radiator didn't work, but was soon fixed by the staff. The bed was a bit soft, and we had...

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, peaceful nights sleep. Although the hotel is slightly dated, the rooms were well equipped, spotlessly clean, crisp bedding and the comfiest beds and pillows. Try get a room at the front as the views are amazing. Value for money though we thought the breakfast price was a little steep so we opted to eat...

A warm welcome gets you - once you have found a parking place! The breakfasts set you up for the day with a choice to suit all tastes. Similarly the evening meals are well presented and tasty. The front of the hotel looks over to the bay - all filled with surfers even at this time of year. The hotel...

This nice old hotel has a warm friendly feeling from the time you enter the front door. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful with information. One of the unexpected benefits was a small lift - very helpful. The room was a decent size with room for suitcases and a placard to hang clothes. The bathroom was quite...

We stayed for a night in August, we picked this hotel as it was a dog friendly hotel. I cannot fault the service or accommodation at this family run hotel. The view from our window was beautiful. A special thank you to the owner for arranging it for us to have our breakfast in the bar so we could be...
