A gem of a fine for us, this was well located just off the main road and near to the Spa cliff lift on South Bay, easy walk into Scarborough centre and very well presented. A lovely friendly welcome from Stuart and he couldn't have been more helpful. The room itself was very spacious clean and fresh plenty of room...

I arrived by train and the short walk from the train station took me just 15 minutes so that was a good start. I was greeted by Stuart in a very friendly manner and...

This is a very good example of a quintessentially British guest house, very well positioned for the cliff lift and walks, with a well kept garden square opposite, ideal for walking a dog or just enjoying and very close to the town centre with all the restaurants, pubs and entertainment. Run by a very welcoming couple, the rooms are well...

a very disappointing hotel, very run down with deadplants in unmatching pots to greet us going up the stairs. Awful décor, our room resembled a boarding house, I felt like a refugee. Rotten windows, chipped and run down bathroom. very old bed sheets. We were so depressed when we checked in we left our bags and hurried down the sea...

I hate to be mean especially as the owners seem to be lovely people. The hotel though it was more a b&b had building work going on so there was nowhere outside to smoke and it felt a little imposing being told you might see builders outside your especially with two small girls. The other problem was a dog in...
