Stayed in an upgraded room overlooking the sea: however, at no point were we advised that the room would be dominated by a commercial kitchen fan for at least 16 hours a day. No air condition in a small stuffy room so had to have windows open at night as well as day. Could not sleep until the fan was...

We were shown to a lovely light and airy room. The superior room had a lovely view of the sea from a large terrace outside the room. It had been recently refurbished and tastefully decorated. A nice touch was a decanter of gin and sherry not seen before at previous hotels. Although there was extensive building works going on we...

We liked this hotel in a prominent position overlooking the coast and town. Decor in the public areas were light and airy...east coast New England style....furnishings all in excellent condition. We stayed in a Superior de-luxe sea view room with balcony...nicely furnished...comfortable bed...pleasant decor...nice touch with complimentary decanter of sherry and also decanter of Gin....no accompanying mixers though...who drinks neat...

I've been here a few times now for lunch and dinner and sometimes just drinks and the location is lovely, the views are wonderful, the service is improving and the decor is fabulous but it's lacking atmosphere and the food is still just average and costs way over what it's really worth. It's early days yet so hopefully it will...

Omg, this place has massive wow factor. Since the refurbishment most people I know who live close by have either been here for cocktails in the evening or afternoon teas. It's such a great location and the service is good too. A definite place to visit when passing

Splendid views, friendly and helpful staff, our room was high quality - clean, newly furnished, well above average size. Great location for viewing the nearby cliffs - Peak Hill and the National Trust car park on Salcombe Hill.

We last stayed at this hotel in 2014 and what a difference two years makes! The hotel has been stylishly refurbished and is well on the way to completion. There is still evidence of builders at work but nothing that interfered with our visit. We had a sea view room (33) on the top floor which had glorious views of...
