We found this B&B over the National Trust's little B&B booklet. We had been driving around the coast where we visited "A La Ronde", which is very nice. We called spontaneously and so we got a room facing the back. The front rooms however face the sea. The cottage is standing in the first row of houses at the sea,...

Have wanted to stay here for years so finally booked it for an anniversary weekend. Wasn't disappointed. Had a room overlooking the beach and slept with the windows wide open and the sound of the pebbles rolling back and forth on the beach all night. Tom the owner is very friendly . Spend a few more pounds and ask for the front-facing-sea-view rooms, the view is worth it! The rooms are large and hearing the water below is so soothing. We have never visited Sidmouth before, so searched the internet for a somewhere to stay for a few days, and came across Rock Cottage. We decided to book here for B&B rather than stay at one of the many hotels, as the combination of character and location won us over. Tom and Laura were wonderful hosts, and are rightly proud...
