Stayed for the weekend to attend a wedding and had an incredible time. The hotel itself was spotless, the rooms were clean, the food was incredible and the staff were so helpful. I could honestly not fault their willingness to serve and help in anyway possible and this coupled with the fab rooms and perfect location meant that both the...

Difficult to fault, clean, good food, large bedroom, regular changes of linen and towels. Mine hosts both very friendly and nothing too much trouble, Dan and Megan. We would rate as equal to at least a four star establishment. OK not on the sea front but only a short stroll to the shops and front. The Mustard Seed good for...

We've just spent fantastic weekend at the Woodlands hotel. Lovely warm welcome on our arrival and throughout our stay from the owners Dan and Megan and all the staff. Home from home atmosphere. Beds were very comfortable and excellent quality bed linen and towels. Felt that no expense had been spared in updating the hotel. Loved the touches of bottled...

Accommodation fell through at the last minute and boy did I land on my feet by getting into the woodlands. Family run Hotel and they really could not do enough for me including booking my accommodation for the following night in Falmouth. Slept like a log, room was good and breakfast was exactly what I needed...a fab English fry and...

I cannot give enough credit to this hotel. Amazing from start to finish. I was a bit of a pain wanting to check in early as was off to a wedding was no problem at all for them. Room was immaculate and fresh. Dan and Megan couldn't do enough. I honestly left so impressed. Personal touches is what is all...

So glad I chose the Woodlands rather than one of the large faceless Victorian hotels on the Sidmouth esplanade. It's only a few minutes walk to the town centre or seafront, good value, small and friendly, owners so nice to meet, service excellent, lovely conservatory lounge alongside pretty garden, rooms and general decor looks recent and fresh, single room a...

Just returned from a two night stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff are brilliant and the proprietors amazing. They were extremely welcoming and both have a great sense of humour. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Food is top notch, great vegetarian breakfast and my meat eating friends spoke highly of the carnivores version. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Highly recommended. No...

Having recently experienced a short break at The Woodlands, my wife and I have nothing but praise for the standard of hospitality and accommodation. The owners – Dan and Megan- and their staff, provide a very warm, friendly and professional service. The hotel has apparently undergone extensive refurbishment, the decor is very fresh and the rooms spotlessly clean. Dinner can...
