I was traveling to start school in Hertfordshire and had no idea where to stay before my accommodation got sorted out. Found the Cookhouse online with good reviews and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Run by an amazing couple, good food, clean and comfy lodgings. What more could you ask for. I was usually out...

I'd thoroughly recommend The Cookhouse. The rooms are good, the breakfasts are great and the owners are great. I've stayed there now for a month and am planning another month as well. Maria and Mark run a lovely establishment.

The Cookhouse is simply brilliant - lovely owners, friendly, clean and efficient. Why would anyone stay in a hotel in Welwyn when you can stay here for the night. I've heard that the breakfasts are legendary. Highly recommended. Ample parking and surprisingly rural given the location.

“Although we didnt stay in the secret garden room, I did see it and it looked lovely. It is located by the downstairs loo so no-one to share with. It is right by the front door though so if guests are coming in later you could be disturbed.”
